The Parent-Child Home Program provides two home visits a week for families with children ages 2 and 3 years. ParentChild+, formerly called the Parent-Child Home Program, uses education to break the cycle of poverty for under-resourced families with young children. ParentChild+ works one-on-one with families and with family child care (FCC) providers to ensure children achieve their greatest potential in school and in life. Our dual models enable the program to blanket underserved communities with school readiness supports and reach families with children four and under who would otherwise not be ready for school. Highly trained Early Learning Specialists engage families and FCC providers by modeling reading, conversation, and play activities. Through one-on-one visits to families and visits to providers and children in home-based care settings, ParentChild+ builds opportunities for the most vulnerable children and families. Since 1965, ParentChild+ has been assisting under-served communities in replicating and expanding these proven models, setting children on the road to school and life success and strengthening families, providers, and communities.

Provides free one-to-one tutoring for Basic Literacy Learners, English Language Learners and Basic Computer Learners. Also offers volunteer opportunities for those interested in teaching others to read or speak English or develop basic computer skills. Free book program for children under 5.

Provides opportunities for migrant farm workers and their families on a regional, statewide, and national basis to encourage and assist them in achieving their full potential. Includes initiatives to increase literacy.

Matches trained volunteers with adults wishing to improve their basic literacy skills in including reading, writing, and math as well as offering a workspace for math and computer classes. Provides literacy assessment, peer tutoring network, a family literacy initiative, and tutoring in English for speakers of other languages.

Offers immigrant families who are learning to speak English a chance to improve their English skills by providing a safe, supportive environment for learning. Coordinates volunteer tutors with ESL students who want to increase the duration and intensity of theirlanguage learning opportunities by providing 30 minutes a week over the phone for practice.

Provides tutoring in basic reading, writing and English as a second language (ESL) skills for adults through a community based program. As well as helps students obtain their US Citizenship.

Provides supports to adult and adolescent learners and assists with developing the home as a learning environment.

Services for children include an early childhood classroom experience, an after school program, monthly Family Night and summer activities. Adult and adolescent learners participate in English Language classes, High School Equivalency Programs, and Vocational Training. Hudson Family Literacy offers both home and center based services.

Provides an in-home school readiness program with twice weekly visits with the family, bringing a new book or toy for the child to keep and model for the parents' fun ways to help their child learn through play.

Focuses on building relationships with families to support parents in realizing their role as their children's first and most important teacher and the positive impact they will have on their child's academic success. Early literacy, math, cognitive, and social-emotional skills are developed in an effort to decrease the preparation/achievement gap for children living in poverty and to start them on the path to school success.

Provides migrant students in Jefferson, Lewis, Oswego, and Wayne counties with educational and support services including in-school and/or in-home tutoring, summer tutoring, educational field trips, family literacy, preschool education, outreach, interpretation and advocacy.
