A police detective follows up with a victim of domestic violence to ensure safety and if there are other concerns, and help link them to resources in the community for those specific issues.

Assists in filing application claims with the New York State Crime Victims Compensation Board. Provides short term counseling, legal advocacy, and prevention and community education.
