Provides free, confidential, comprehensive, direct service to any person affected by sexual violence including a crisis hotline, ongoing counseling services for victims including medical and legal accompaniment services, and prevention education and outreach to the community.

Offers Outreach and Prevention Programs designed to inform and empower the community on topics of Dating Violence, Sexual Assault, and Stalking through advocacy and education in an effort to reduce the occurrence of these problems. Programs work to spread awareness on how to handle disclosures in a trauma informed way and to link audience with relevant resources in the community.

Offers information on a variety of crime prevention issues, programs or services, from public awareness, protection, and possible ways to prevent crime, etc. Also provides a helpline for those who have been crime victims.

Offers domestic violence and sexual assault prevention education and outreach to community organizations and schools. Community educators or leaders are able to create presentations, attend conferences and sit in on informational panels. A wide range of prevention presentations are offered to elementary, middle, and high school students in the community.

Coordinates with the Chautauqua County Child Abuse Multidisciplinary Team to respond to child physical and sexual abuse cases to reduce trauma to children and non-offending family members and stewards of children. Offers a prevention and response training for adults. Provides trauma counseling and problematic sexual behavior counseling for children 17 and under.

Hotlines continue to be staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Counselors offer short-term counseling (6-8 sessions); medical, legal, and court accompaniment; crisis intervention for sexual assault survivors and their significant others; support through medical examinations and treatment; advocacy and support during interaction with law enforcement; individual consultations with professionals; community education programs; professional training programs; and referrals for additional needed services. Serves as the point of contact for domestic violence shelter placement in Wyoming County. Provides helpline and website reporting mechanisms for the public to report registered sex offenders potentially in violation of registration, employment, or residency restriction laws as well as sex offenders violating probation or parole or in positions of trust where they can access children.

Rape Crisis Center that also provides services addressing Domestic Violence, Family Violence, and Elder Abuse. Provides 24-hour immediate crisis response to all Erie County Hospital Emergency Departments when a victim of rape, domestic/family violence, or elder abuse is identified. Services include crisis intervention, support, advocacy, safety planning, case management, supportive counseling, prevention education, and community referrals. Individual therapy is available to victims of sexual violence. Implements Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Programs throughout Erie County. Satellite offices are located at the Buffalo Police Sex Offense Section, Town of Tonawanda Police Department, and Erie County Sheriff's Office. Speakers and trainers are available. Advocates are also co-located at various college campuses across Erie County.
