**THIS AGENCY HAS DISCONTINUED SERVICES AS OF MARCH 14, 2025** Provides peer support and socialization groups for child victims of sexual abuse and their non-offending family members. Children are organized into age appropriate groups that meet once a week along with non-offending parents for a family-style dinner, followed by projects and occasioned family outings. This program is also offered through the William Floyd School District in Mastic, Suffolk County. Call for further information.

Provides training, outreach, information and referral on elder abuse. The program is designed to create public awareness in the community to identify the hidden problem of elder abuse and then make an appropriate referral.

Provides recreation, educational services, employment, advocacy and referral services, child abuse prevention programs, crisis intervention, informal drug and alcohol counseling/education, and a Social Worker is available for counseling. A summer recreation program is also available. A contract agency of Brookhaven Town Youth Bureau.

Responsible for the service and enforcement of orders of protection throughout Suffolk County. They also arrest individuals charged with violating orders of protection and those with family offense related warrants. The Unit provides victims with a safe refuge by removing batterers from the home, seizing weapons and executing arrest warrants against the perpetrators of domestic violence. The Unit works closely with various domestic violence agencies both on the private and county level to offer or assist victims of domestic violence. Call for more detailed information.

The Family and Child Advocacy Center is a multi-disciplinary team providing services to victims of child sexual abuse, domestic violence, and serious physical abuse. A child friendly environment is provided. Help offered includes victim support and advocacy. Medical and therapeutic services are available on location.

Provides case management, parenting program for fathers, healthy relationship workshops for individuals and/or couples, peer mentoring, job readiness coaching and economic stability/mobility services, domestic violence prevention education, and program support services (e.g. transportation assistance, employment-related participant support cost). Offers a number of professional development programs for teachers, as well as for teacher candidates. Mandatory workshops offered include: School Violence Prevention and Intervention Workshop; Training in the Identification and Reporting of Child Abuse and Neglect and Dignity For All Students (DASA) Workshop. Numerous online professional development graduate courses, certificates and summer institutes for teachers are offered. In addition; Molloy University offers a number of conferences for educators throughout the year. Courses vary each semester. Assistance with emergency placement of abused or neglected children at risk. Assessment for requests for foster care and adoption. Offers preventive services for children and families. Provides a registry of child abuse reports in New York State to encourage more complete reporting of child abuse and maltreatment.

Provides assistance to individuals who have a history of aggressive behavior with the opportunities of change learned behaviors through education. Clients are educated on the legal implications of their behavior as well as its efforts on their significant other and family members. Emphasis is placed on learning to take responsibility for one's behavior and learning to control violent impulses. Clients are given information on counseling services available to them and their families.

Provides an awareness program for teenagers regarding issues of dating, domestic or sexual violence.

Offers training for first responders such as health care professionals, law enforcement and community leaders who will provide care services for victims of domestic violence.

Offers information on a variety of crime prevention issues, programs or services, from public awareness, protection, and possible ways to prevent crime, etc. Also provides a helpline for those who have been crime victims.

Advocates for increased community awareness of the problem of child abuse and neglect develops improved access to information resources on child protection issues, provides training resources in the field of child protection offers a variety of professional publications offers professional expertise in evaluation, consultation and technical assistance to public and private child protection agencies.

Provides services for victims of domestic violence including 24 hour crisis intervention hotline, family and criminal court advocacy and accompaniment, support groups, employment services, Bi-Lingual/Bi-Cultural Staff, counseling, educational presentations, training for professionals and Speakers Bureau. TRIAD sponsors crime prevention and safety programs for senior citizens, while providing a forum for law enforcement and the community to share the needs and concerns of senior citizens. It strives to develop solutions to reduce criminal victimization, improve the quality of life and enhance the delivery of services and programs for seniors in Sullivan County.

Offers domestic violence and sexual assault prevention education and outreach to community organizations and schools. Community educators or leaders are able to create presentations, attend conferences and sit in on informational panels. A wide range of prevention presentations are offered to elementary, middle, and high school students in the community.

Provides non-residential services to victims of Domestic Violence. Services include safety planning, basic counseling, case management, hospital accompaniment, domestic violence awareness/education, temporary assistance waivers/housing assistance, transportation, and referrals for immigrant/immigration services, safe dwelling/shelter, legal assistance, and other relevant supportive services. Also provides court advocacy including help with preparation and filing of Family Court documents such as orders of protection and custody, and will accompany victims to court upon request. All services continue to be available after hours via the Orleans County Sheriff's Dispatch.

Provides crisis intervention and support for victims of family violence, elder abuse, rape, and sexual assault. Offers safe, confidential services including counseling, safety-planning, court advocacy, and referrals. Also provides comprehensive domestic violence, sexual assault, teen dating violence, elder abuse, and bullying prevention programs available for schools, community groups, women's groups, scouting troops, and other interested groups.

Coordinates with the Chautauqua County Child Abuse Multidisciplinary Team to respond to child physical and sexual abuse cases to reduce trauma to children and non-offending family members and stewards of children. Offers a prevention and response training for adults. Provides trauma counseling and problematic sexual behavior counseling for children 17 and under.
