A state-mandated service provided by every county with the goal of keeping vulnerable adults safely residing in the community or in the least restrictive alternative. Investigates reports of suspected abuse and maltreatment of children in Lewis County received from the NY State Central Registry for Child Abuse and Maltreatment. Caseworkers assess multiple risk factors and the safety of the children involved to determine if the family needs assistance in order to keep their children safe.

Partners with alcohol-serving establishments in Onondaga County to create safe environments that help to prevent sexual and relationship violence and sexual harassment. Participating establishments' staff and management are trained in the Safer Bars Model, which focuses on bystander intervention and building skills for identifying and responding to sexual aggression and relationship abuse, with a focus on prevention.
