Flex funds available to help with expenses like cell phone bills, internet, cleaning and hygiene, and transportation expenses. During the holiday season, provides assistance with coats, food vouchers to purchase ingredients for holiday meals, and toys/gifts for families who are not receiving gifts from Toys for Tots or Salvation Army.

Assists people who are facing legal issues due to alcohol or drug abuse by providing them with treatment options and case management services. Individuals are sentenced to this program by a local court as an alternative to incarceration.

Provides an emergency shelter for domestic violence victims and their children. Offers supportive counseling, case management services, parenting services, peer support, advocacy in court and with the Department of Social Services, assistance in finding transitional and permanent housing, referrals for medical treatment, vocational counseling/training, and aftercare.

Provides a number of support services for anyone who is a victim of domestic violence and sexual assault. Services include 24/7 hotline, confidential emergency shelter, crisis intervention, counseling, advocacy, court assistance and accompaniment, safety for pets left behind, transportation, translation and referrals to other services or resources that will be needed. Offers a Victim Impact Panel run by the Suffolk County Probation Department in conjunction with the Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (MADD). The DUI Victim Impact Panel Program is an awareness program for offenders convicted of misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol or other drugs. The panels consist of a non-confrontational presentation consisting of crime victims telling their own personal stories of how impaired drivers forever changed their lives. The panel presents a unique perspective to the offender that is often overlooked or simply cannot be taught by the courts and the DUI offender schools. Offers substance abuse and alcohol treatment services in English and Spanish to special need clients. Specialized care includes a woman's track that employs a trauma informed framework, a mentally ill chemical abuser (MICA) program, a batterer intervention program for clients mandated to treatment or referred from parole/probation or Integrated Domestic Violence courts, and OMH Adult Satellite Clinic that serves adults and young adults with mental health and substance abuse. Investigating all reported domestic incidents and providing assistance to victims of Domestic Violence. The Domestic Violence/Elder Abuse Bureau of the Suffolk County Police Department conducts confidential investigations involving domestic violence and elder abuse, and acts as a liaison to the courts, outside agencies and governmental entities. The Domestic Violence/Elder Abuse Bureau also provides outreach to victims of domestic violence and raises community awareness through education regarding family violence issues.
