Assists people who are facing legal issues due to alcohol or drug abuse by providing them with treatment options and case management services. Individuals are sentenced to this program by a local court as an alternative to incarceration.

Holds hour-and-a-half virtual sessions where court mandated participants are confronted by an individual who lost a loved one or experienced tragic losses due to someone else's drinking and driving. Program ends with an educational session to assist participants in making low risk choices around drinking.

Services include: - Parenting and relationships education through the 13-week Nurturing Fathers Program - Mentoring, coaching, and resource navigation for young adult fathers aged 18–24 - Personal finance education - Domestic violence programming through the 17-week Caring Dads Program

Responsible for the service and enforcement of orders of protection throughout Suffolk County. They also arrest individuals charged with violating orders of protection and those with family offense related warrants. The Unit provides victims with a safe refuge by removing batterers from the home, seizing weapons and executing arrest warrants against the perpetrators of domestic violence. Offers a Victim Impact Panel run by the Suffolk County Probation Department in conjunction with the Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (MADD). The DUI Victim Impact Panel Program is an awareness program for offenders convicted of misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol or other drugs. The panels consist of a non-confrontational presentation consisting of crime victims telling their own personal stories of how impaired drivers forever changed their lives. The panel presents a unique perspective to the offender that is often overlooked or simply cannot be taught by the courts and the DUI offender schools.
