Financial Education at Jericho Road includes two programs: Financially Fit and City Roots. Financially Fit offers financial education to refugee and American-born adults, empowering them and their families with the knowledge needed to successfully navigate American financial systems, manage limited resources, and embrace a healthy financial lifestyle. Curriculum centers around visual and experiential learning and teaches principals of banking, budgeting, paying bills on time, proper credit use, and savings. City Roots is Jericho Road's first-time homebuyer education program. This program is for both refugees and American-born adults.

Program designed to strengthen male and father engagement with children and families throughout the city of Buffalo and Western New York. Services include: - Parenting and relationships education through the 13-week Nurturing Fathers Program - Mentoring, coaching, and resource navigation for young adult fathers aged 18–24 - Personal finance education - Domestic violence programming through the 17-week Caring Dads Program

Offers education, outreach, and supportive services to the community including high school equivalency classes and life skills classes on topics such as budgeting, job readiness training, parenting, nutrition, and spirituality.

The free TRIO EOC program sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education, hosted at SUNY Genesee Community College (GCC) provides free support to aid community members in applying to, funding and enrolling in further education. The purpose of the program is to help participants achieve their educational and career goals. Staff are knowledgeable and skilled in the fields of high school equivalencies, higher education applications and processes, state and federal financial aid, veteran and family-of-veteran education benefits, and scholarship opportunities available at the local, state, and national levels. Program offers individualized one-on-one appointments with highly-trained Outreach Specialists who can assist with: - College and trade school applications - Financial aid applications and scholarship searches - High school equivalency options - Career counseling and vocational training options - Educational opportunities for veterans - Financial literacy and planning Although hosted by SUNY GCC, the program does not recruit on behalf of the college, per grant requirement. Community Outreach Center provides assistance in finding employment. Career development counselors are on hand to help individuals create a professional resume, and assist a prospective employee develop interviewing skills that showcase his/her aptitudes, experience, and workplace readiness.

PREP is a teen pregnancy prevention program for middle school-aged youth that uses evidence-based program models to educate youth on healthy decision-making patterns, abstinence and contraception, as well as adult preparatory subjects, which includes healthy relationships, financial literacy, effective parent-child communication, and college and career planning. PREP has an Advisory Board that is dedicated to helping through cross-collaborative partnerships (related to positive youth development work), program oversight, sustainability, and expansion opportunities for youth in Haverstraw and Spring Valley.

Provides small business owners with variety of educational services, such as workshops, webinars, online resources and more.

Provides information on how to plan for future medical care using advanced directives.

Provides a personal finances educational program to help individuals understand how to manage their finances. Participants will receive tools to help them increase their income, increase savings, and build/sustain assets. Topics include introduction to banking; introduction to credit and using credit cards; how to choose and keep a checking account; how to keep track of your money; how to save money; how to recover financially and rebuild your credit after a financial set-back; consumer rights; know what you are borrowing before you buy; and information on home ownership.

Helps individuals and caregivers find and compare the costs of home care, assisted living, and other services throughout the United States.

Emergency Housing Provides comprehensive services to at-risk and homeless households to promote retention and maintenance of safe, affordable housing, access to support services and provides case management.Housing Services Provides housing education, counseling, and budgeting guidance for renters, homeowners and potential homeowners.Transitional Housing Provides supports and financial assistance to victims who have become homeless as a result of fleeing an abusive situation.

Provides supports and raising awareness for community families through one-on-one advocacy, and support, goal setting, budget development and individual attention as well as larger community presentations, increased access to services, and referrals to appropriate community resources.

Assists individuals and families who are homeless or in danger of being homeless to find or maintain stable housing through security deposits, first month's rent, back rent, financial workshops, and case management.

Assists middle and high school students prepare for their financial futures and transition into college and careers. Offers individualized assistance in filling out the FAFSA and applying for scholarships as well as classes on financial literacy.

Provides opportunities for refugees and immigrants to set up plots of land to farm and plant culturally appropriate vegetables and food. Education on the planting environment, assistance selling produce, a goat farm project to raise and sell goats, and literacy classes are offered.

Provides a variety of programs designed to provide support and socialization opportunities for seniors living independently. Programs include health and wellness workshops and speakers, one-on-one counseling and advocacy, caregiver supports, lifeline, housecleaning, and field trips. Socialization based groups include quilting, walking, computer classes, grief and loss groups. Provides food delivery to residents of Mechanicville Public Housing.

Family Unification Program: moves families into Section 8 when their children are at risk of out-of-home placement. Offers specialized planning for families for all aspects of school, medical, legal and financial for all ages and stages of life.

Provides personalized financial management and budgeting education classes to assist families in asset building and work towards financial independence. Programming includes linkages to community resources, creating a budget, meal planning and grocery shopping, and home energy savings tips.

Provides educational workshops for individuals, families, business owners and others that deal with the essentials of money management, asset building and financial independence.

Offers budget and debt counseling to those who need help with budgeting, money management skills, and credit issues.
