The free TRIO EOC program sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education, hosted at SUNY Genesee Community College (GCC) provides free support to aid community members in applying to, funding and enrolling in further education. The purpose of the program is to help participants achieve their educational and career goals. Staff are knowledgeable and skilled in the fields of high school equivalencies, higher education applications and processes, state and federal financial aid, veteran and family-of-veteran education benefits, and scholarship opportunities available at the local, state, and national levels. Program offers individualized one-on-one appointments with highly-trained Outreach Specialists who can assist with: - College and trade school applications - Financial aid applications and scholarship searches - High school equivalency options - Career counseling and vocational training options - Educational opportunities for veterans - Financial literacy and planning Although hosted by SUNY GCC, the program does not recruit on behalf of the college, per grant requirement. Financially Fit offers financial education to refugee and American-born adults, empowering them and their families with the knowledge needed to successfully navigate American financial systems, manage limited resources, and embrace a healthy financial lifestyle. Curriculum centers around visual and experiential learning and teaches principals of banking, budgeting, paying bills on time, proper credit use, and savings. City Roots is Jericho Road's first-time homebuyer education program. This program is for both refugees and American-born adults.

New Dad Parenting Programs
Focuses on creating asset development opportunities for both residents and entrepreneurs. Assists individuals in growing and investing in their communities by providing lending capital, training, consulting, technical assistance, seminars, workshops, and low-cost business rental space to new and existing businesses that would otherwise lack access to these services. Assists area residents in developing asset based thinking by providing financial literacy training, basic budgeting, and home appliance loans to combat predatory lenders. Loan programs and Cottage Industry Assistance Program target low to moderate income existing and prospective individuals. Chautauqua Microenterprise Loan Fund and the Women and Minority Microenterprise Loan Fund Programs help small businesses by providing small business start up and expansion loans. The small business incubator offers small businesses an opportunity to grow and stabilize with subsidies around rent, business services, and technical assistance. Program site serves as a Warming Center during times of excessive cold and as a Cooling Center during times of excessive heat. Always call ahead to make sure a Warming/Cooling Center is open before going there.
