Provide free counseling for borrowers who are having trouble making their mortgage payments. Help borrowers understand their budget issues, the mortgage details and the process of foreclosure and their rights during the process. When appropriate, and at the borrowerÎÃÃs request, enter into negotiations with their lender to modify their current loan so that they can become current on their loans and afford to pay the mortgage into the foreseeable future.

Provides credit counseling, housing counseling (Pre/Post Purchase, Mortgage Delinquency), Foreclosure Prevention Services, Student Loan Counseling, Pre Bankruptcy Counseling, Reverse Mortgage Counseling, and debt management for families, with an emphasis on budget development and maintenance while repairing unsecured debts. Assists individuals and families with common transitions and issues facing seniors or individuals with disabilities or chronic illnesses. Services include assessment, care planning, information and referral, and service coordination. Helps seniors and individuals with disabilities manage household bills, write out checks, balance financial statements, read and write personal correspondence, and complete applications, insurance forms, and other official paperwork.

Assists Long Islanders who have student debt navigate the student loan repayment system. Develops an individualized plan for debt reduction, repayment options and financial planning. Mediates with loan services and lenders. Provides assistance in accessing student loan forgiveness programs and other financial resources.

Protective Services for adults over the age of 18 whose health and safety is at imminent risk and who are unable to meet their own basic needs and have no one willing or able to assist them.

Money Management International are specialists in the areas of money management, credit cards, budgeting, and debt reduction. We offer credit counseling over the telephone, online, and face-to-face at one of our 50+ branches across the nation.

Provides free and confidential, phone or in person counseling, where a counselor analyzes income and debt, foreclosure, etc and develops a budget and action plan, and recommends a solution. If individual qualifies for and chooses to begin a Debt Management Program, counselor will negotiate payment terms and concessions with creditors. Also provides workshops and online resources that teaches how to improve money management skills and other financial help.

Assist in training in life skills and creating monthly financial budgets in order to maintain independent lifestyles. Broker also helps develop and maintain the Circle of Support and works closely with the Medicaid Service Coordinator to develop a comprehensive plan. The Broker assists with identifying services, monitors the person’s expenses and provides guidance and training for self-hired staff.

Provides help to low and moderate income residents on the North Fork of Eastern Long Island acquire affordable housing. Services offered are as follows: referral assistance and information; mortgage acquisition and foreclosure assistance; housing rehabilitation assistance; subsidized housing assistance; loan/grant application assistance; advocacy and counseling; fair housing law assistance; health, safety violations and code enforcement; weatherization referrals; utility payment assistance; legal referrals.
