Provides direct cash grants of up to one month for mortgage or rent for individuals who may run into an emergency situation that has left them financially strapped. PLEASE NOTE: Funding is limited and therefore is based on emergency situation and eligibility criteria.

Provides temporary financial assistance to families and individuals for short-term help while they work toward self-sufficiency, such as Family Assistance, Safety Net Assistance and Emergency Temporary Assistance (homeless, need food, written eviction, need heating during cold weather, utilities are or are about to be shut-off, family violence)

Provides information workshops with regard to foreclosure prevention and one-on-one counseling for borrowers in foreclosure. Offers assistance in payments of mortgage, utility, property tax and water service. Services include negotionation with lenders, services for loan modifications, budget counseling, and legal services may be provided.

FEMA's Mortgage and Rental Assistance (MRA) Program is designed to cover rent or mortgage payments for those who have suffered a financial hardship as a result of a major disaster declared by the President. Persons suffering financial hardship who are unable to pay their rent or mortgage, and are facing eviction or foreclosure, may be eligible for this program. Provides an emergency, 2 day supply of food one time per month from Community Emergency Food Pantry, and food as needed in the interim from the Outreach Office. Assistance with basic needs, rents and mortgages (when FEMA funds are available) and referrals when utilities are in arrears.

Provides financial assistance for eligible families in various ways: Basic Living Expenses - Rent, mortgage payment and/or utilities, supermarket gift cards, when these bills have become unmanageable after a child's diagnosis and/or a parent must stop working to care for their sick child. Illness-related Expenses - medical co-pays, transportation for treatment, medical equipment, and childcare to keep siblings safe when parents must be with their hospitalized child. End of Life Expenses - will help with funeral arrangements and expenses, and provide bereavement support.

Assists eligible individuals in a crisis by issuing one-time, non-recurring payments to meet emergency situations. The unit may assist with security agreements to landlords, extermination fees, moving or storage expenses, and utility arrears payments to avoid shut-offs or to restore service. Financial assistance is made in the form of a loan for utility shut-off, evictions, moving/storage expenses, property repair, rental assistance, mortgage assistance, and foreclosure. A security agreement is provided to landlords instead of a security deposit. Emergency and immediate needs assisted include: - Shelter Arrears - Utility Arrears - Security Agreements - Moving Assistance / Storage Assistance - Water Arrears (only for clients who are in danger of having their water shut off) - Stoves/Fridges/Household Establishments of Furniture (for Households not receiving Temporary Assistance) - Essential Property Repair for Homeowners (pending a health evaluation/inspection to confirm that the issue in need of repair poses a hazard to the residents' health) - Extermination - Grants of Assistance for Guide Dogs - Enhanced Shelter Allowance Determination for Temporary Assistance Recipients - SSI Check Replacement

Provides financial assistance for veterans (including homeless veterans referred by the PathStone Corporation), active military, and their families for everyday essential living needs (mortgage/rent and utilities). Provides the veteran with up to 4 months' rent (including security deposit), mortgage, and utilities. Provides temporary assistance to low income families who need some assistance till they become financial stable. Services also include financial aid to qualifying individuals and families for food, rent, clothing, shelter, etc. due to a disaster/emergency.

Provides help to low and moderate income residents on the North Fork of Eastern Long Island acquire affordable housing. Services offered are as follows: referral assistance and information; mortgage acquisition and foreclosure assistance; housing rehabilitation assistance; subsidized housing assistance; loan/grant application assistance; advocacy and counseling; fair housing law assistance; health, safety violations and code enforcement; weatherization referrals; utility payment assistance; legal referrals.

The Town of Babylon (Town) is making CDBG-CV funds available for low to moderate income Town of Babylon residents with mortgage arrears incurred due to a COVID-19 related loss of income. The Long Island Housing Partnership (LIHP) will administer the program. The aggregate amount of arrears payable under the Program cannot exceed $50,000 per household. No more than six consecutive monthly payments may be made. The first payment will be inclusive of all eligible accrued arrears subject to the cap.

Gives families and individuals the opportunity to buy, build, or repair affordable homes located in rural areas. Eligibility for these loans, loan guarantees, and grants is based on income and varies according to the average median income for each area.

* Provides one-time emergency needs of migrant and seasonal farmworkers who may not be eligible for other emergency services. Services include: Nutritional assistance, emergency shelter, first month rental assistance, rent in arrears assistance, mortgage assistance and utilities in arrears assistance.

Low-interest loans for down payments, closing costs, repairs, and help securing USDA loans for purchases/repairs. Currently, amounts up to $10,000 may be borrowed starting at 3.5%, repayable over a period of up to 10 years. Other loan funds may also be available for additional purchase/repair assistance.

*Provide direct assistance to low-income individuals and families by providing case management services through a series of assessments. Assistance based on need and includes rent, security deposit, mortgage, utilities (such as gas, electric, heating, water, and sewer), auto insurance and repairs, personal hygiene items, diapers and wipes, furniture, as well as gasoline and bus passes for employment-related services. * Provides information and referrals to the appropriate resources or agencies. * Provides personal financial counseling.

Provides affordable home ownership opportunities to families who fall below moderate income levels and are unable to obtain conventional mortgage financing. Eligible applicants can receive up to $20,000 in mortgage assistance.
