*Provide direct assistance to low-income individuals and families by providing case management services through a series of assessments. Assistance based on need and includes rent, security deposit, mortgage, utilities (such as gas, electric, heating, water, and sewer), auto insurance and repairs, personal hygiene items, diapers and wipes, furniture, as well as gasoline and bus passes for employment-related services. * Provides information and referrals to the appropriate resources or agencies. * Provides personal financial counseling.

Provides affordable home ownership opportunities to families who fall below moderate income levels and are unable to obtain conventional mortgage financing. Eligible applicants can receive up to $20,000 in mortgage assistance.

Provides help to low and moderate income residents on the North Fork of Eastern Long Island acquire affordable housing. Services offered are as follows: referral assistance and information; mortgage acquisition and foreclosure assistance; housing rehabilitation assistance; subsidized housing assistance; loan/grant application assistance; advocacy and counseling; fair housing law assistance; health, safety violations and code enforcement; weatherization referrals; utility payment assistance; legal referrals.

Provides information workshops with regard to foreclosure prevention and one-on-one counseling for borrowers in foreclosure. FEMA's Mortgage and Rental Assistance (MRA) Program is designed to cover rent or mortgage payments for those who have suffered a financial hardship as a result of a major disaster declared by the President. Also will assist individuals with "once only" emergency needs if eligible (i.e. prevent an eviction; prevent a utility shut-off; emergency car repair/car insurance to prevent the loss of employment; etc).

Provides temporary assistance to low income families who need some assistance till they become financial stable. Services also include financial aid to qualifying individuals and families for food, rent, clothing, shelter, etc. due to a disaster/emergency.

Provides temporary financial aid to low income individuals and families for daily necessities.

Provides financial assistance for veterans (including homeless veterans referred by the PathStone Corporation), active military, and their families for everyday essential living needs (mortgage/rent and utilities). Provides the veteran with up to 4 months' rent (including security deposit), mortgage, and utilities. Assists eligible individuals in a crisis by issuing one-time, non-recurring payments to meet emergency situations. The unit may assist with security agreements to landlords, extermination fees, moving or storage expenses, and utility arrears payments to avoid shut-offs or to restore service. Financial assistance is made in the form of a loan for utility shut-off, evictions, moving/storage expenses, property repair, rental assistance, mortgage assistance, and foreclosure. A security agreement is provided to landlords instead of a security deposit.
