ACRHA offers several Home Repair Programs, such as: AHC Home Improvement Grant, Revolving Loan Fund, RESTORE, HOME Program, and USDA 504 Loan/Grant.

Gives families and individuals the opportunity to buy, build, or repair affordable homes located in rural areas. Eligibility for these loans, loan guarantees, and grants is based on income and varies according to the average median income for each area.

Provides assistance to homeowners to perform rehabilitation activities that are necessary to help alleviate the substandard conditions of their homes.

Provides funding for housing rehabilitation to owner-occupied or owner-investor properties where low-income families reside.

Helps New Yorkers make smart choices to create a more energy-efficient home. After an at-home assessment, participants may apply for financing to help pay for home improvements.

Designed for first time home buyers, this program assists low/moderate-income persons into ownership with financial assistance through the use of grants to reduce the cost of the house to make it more affordable, do repairs to the house to ensure it meets code and housing quality standards, or both.

Provides funding to repair existing owner-occupied housing on first-come-first served.

Provides homeownership opportunities to rural Americans, and home renovation and repair programs.

Offers 2 revolving loan products to help struggling homeowners. Home Save: Provides loans to homeowners to provide capital to bring unpaid mortgage payments current in order to prevent foreclosure. Better Home: Provides loans to homeowners to do needed repairs or renovations on the home they own or plan to purchase.

Provides funding to owners of 1-4 family homes to repair damage caused by Huricane Ida in 2021. Available Assistance: Reimbursement for the cost of repairs paid for and completed prior to IHRR application, Grants to repair remaining damage caused by the storm Reimbursement or grant funding for the cost of mitigation measures such as installing flood vents, or elevating electrical systems.

Provides housing renovation solutions for veterans and active duty military who need safe, medically appropriate, and affordable housing as the journey back to civilian life. All renovations are at no cost to the veteran or family through the generous support of individuals, foundations and corporate contributors.

Provides emergency repairs to homes owned and lived in by senior low-income households.

Provides loans for homeowners in Erie County to make health and safety repairs to their homes. Eligible repairs include but are not limited to furnace and electrical repairs, repairs to address sewer/plumbing emergencies, and lead paint remediation. Program is funded by ECDSS, and loans are serviced by Home HeadQuarters, a non-profit, certified Community Development Financial Institution.

Provides community meeting space, food pantry referrals, special events, family activities, and technology center / computer lab. Senior programming includes exercise, movies, parties, senior council meetings, bingo, nutrition program for seniors, and field trips. Youth programming includes an after school program for children 5-10 years old, 4-H programs, homework help, teen and adolescent life skills, youth and teen recreation, summer day camp, and homework assistance. Also provided are youth sports, adult sports and recreation, adult athletic leagues, exercise programs, and a fitness room. Serves as a City of Buffalo Cooling Center during times of extreme heat and as a Warming Center during times of extreme cold. Always call ahead to make sure a Cooling/Warming Center is open before going there.

Provides housing interventions for up to $20,000 per unit, aimed at helping homeowners and small-scale landlords to help repair and remove health and safety hazards from their homes that house low-income residents.

Provides home rehabilitation services to bring a house up to code.

Provides financial assistance for homeowners to make essential repairs to their homes, including essential handicapped accessibility work.

Provides an on-site emergency food pantry for residents of specific streets in the City of Lockport (call for details) and information on meal planning and budgeting. Provides rent, mortgage, and utility payment assistance to low income individuals and families when funds are available; funds are currently unavailable. Fair Housing Advocacy Program assists individuals who feel they are victims of discrimination when purchasing or renting a home. Provides information, assessment, and referral to the appropriate federal, state, or local human rights agency or court. Provides housing location services and landlord/tenant advocacy. Individual advocacy, information and referral, application assistance, asset management, and budget counseling are also available.

Provides income eligible Long Island homeowners with resources, deferred grants and low interest rate loans to make necessary repairs and improvements to their homes, based on need and as determined by CDCLI professional housing rehab specialists.
