* Offers a food pantry.* Offering emergency food pantry, including delivery, for those that are unable to get out, those who are senior citizens and those whose health is compromised. Also provides "to go" kits which will contain some emergency supplies.* Provides school supplies any time of the year but also offers back to school supplies generally one night at the end of August.* Provides a coat closet that offers gently used coats of all sizes and hats and mittens. Items picked up at the facility by appointment only. Donations welcomed.

Provides Oswego County residents, businesses, industries, and institutions a program for the disposal and recycling of solid waste, including management of a sanitary landfill, an Energy Recovery Facility, five transfer stations, recycling centers, and compost areas. Provides solid waste and recycling management information in Oswego County.

Provides a farmers market where local farmers sell freshly picked, in-season fruits and vegetables directly to consumers. Offers baked goods, jams, and lavender. Accepts WIC and senior farmers market coupons. Distributes senior farmer market coupons to eligible seniors.

* Provides opportunities for senior citizens that support independent living, enhance health and well being, educate, and contribute to feelings of self worth and community belonging.* Offers a variety of exercise programs, presentations, games and cards, and social activities. * Offers meals combined with program nutrition education speakers and nutrition screening is provided after the meal.

The Greene County Department of Human Services Nutrition Program allows seniors to remain independent in their homes while maintaining good nutrition. Home Delivered Meals are provided to those unable to prepare meals for themselves. Volunteers deliver these meals Monday through Friday (except holidays) throughout Greene County. This program provides seniors the opportunity to improve and/or maintain their nutrition, health status, and quality of life while remaining in their home. Each senior service center serves a noon-time meal consisting of a hot entree, vegetable and fruit, bread and butter, low fat milk and a dessert. Substitutions are available for those on diabetic or low-salt diets. The Nutrition Education Program provides a registered dietitian who does nutritional education on a one-on-one counseling level if needed by clients.
