Offers assistance, information and pre-screening for potential for SNAP/food stamp eligibility. Staff assists in completing paperwork, copying documents, scheduling telephone interviews, following up with and advocating on behalf of applicants at the local social services department.Can help if you receive SNAP benefits and have lost food due to natural disasters, equipment failure or electric outages.

The Mobile Food Pantry is a truck used to deliver fresh produce, dairy products, and other food and grocery products directly to distribution sites where people need food. Bring your own bags/boxes. For distribution dates, sites and registration in Broome and Tioga Counties, please call 2-1-1 or 1-800-901-2180. Schedule is also posted on the Food Bank's website.
Provides a multi-purpose senior program for adults 60 years of age and older. Activities include arts and crafts, cards, educational classes and guest speakers, exercise and wellness programs, and day trips.

The Greene County Department of Human Services Nutrition Program allows seniors to remain independent in their homes while maintaining good nutrition. Home Delivered Meals are provided to those individuals deemed eligible. Volunteers deliver these meals Monday through Friday (except holidays) throughout Greene County. This program provides seniors the opportunity to improve and/or maintain their nutrition, health status, and quality of life while remaining in their home. Each senior service center serves a noon-time meal consisting of a hot entree, vegetable and fruit, bread and butter, low fat milk and a dessert. Substitutions are available for those on diabetic or low-salt diets. The Nutrition Education Program provides a registered dietitian who does nutritional education on a one-on-one counseling level if needed by clients.
