Provides participants with strategies to deal with the stress of deployment, combat and re-transition home along with information on the root causes of stress and substance abuse. Provides wrap around services and temporary financial assistance(TFA). The services offered include, but are not limited to, emergency housing referrals, assistance searching for housing, connection to local, state and federal benefits, employment and training services, financial literacy services, budget advisory, rental and arrears assistance, utility arrears, security deposits, storage and moving costs, temporary financial assistance and connection to child care providers.

Provides coordination of services for legally blind veterans and their families. Duties include providing and/or arranging for the provision of appropriate treatment modalities to enhance a blinded veteran's functioning level. Other duties include identifying new cases of blindness, providing professional counseling, resolving problems, arranging annual healthcare reviews and conducting education programs relating to blindness.

Provides mental health services to active duty service members, National Guard and Reserve forces, and veterans who have separated or retired from any branch of military service. Also serves family members and loved one of those who have served in the military.Mental health professionals commit to provide free care for a minimum of one hour per week for one year. Clients are not required to provide insurance information or any other form of payment for the services rendered from Give an Hour volunteer mental health professionals. While Give an Hour is not a crisis service and does not offer emergency help, our providers can help in the following areas: Individual Services, Marital Services, Family Services, Group Counseling, Child and Adolescent Services, Parent Guidance, Post-Traumatic Street, Alcohol/Chemical Dependency, Pastoral Counseling, Grief and Loss, Traumatic Brain Injury, Anger Management, Anxiety, Separation/Divorce, and Sexual Abuse.To access Give an Hour services please visit www.giveanhour.org and select "Get Help" and fill out the criteria. Once you have identified providers in your area you may contact them directly. Be sure to identify as a Give an Hour client and be prepared to call a few providers to find someone who is a good fit.
