Offers Nassau County residents ages 55 and older, who are isolated from community resources, assistance in obtaining needed services. Provides home visits to assess individual's needs and develop goals for independent living. Offers interim counseling for behavioral health needs such as anxiety, depression and substance abuse, and nursing assessment and education. Refers individuals to current programs for permanent community support.

Provides light housekeeping, laundry, food shopping, errands for seniors who live in the Town of Islip and are 60 years and over. Must contact Suffolk County Office for the Aging.

Offers various craft and fitness programs to seniors. Programs include fun and fitness, arts and crafts, needle craft, quilting boutique, yoga, tai chi, zumba, strength training, chair exercise, line dancing, trips, movies, oil painting, softball and bowling teams, monthly dances and luncheons.

Seniors receive counseling on housing situations such as rentals, home ownership issues, real estate tax exemptions, foreclosure prevention and special government programs for eligible seniors.
