Serves, supports and strengthens public libraries in Nassau County. Promotes and facilitates resource sharing and collaboration among libraries. Distributes information from governmental agencies and educational/non-profit organizations to 54 member libraries. CE and training for member library staff. Consulting services, technical and problem-solving assistance in the areas of library management and operations. Co-sponsor of the Long Island Talking Books Library (located at the Suffolk Cooperative Library System) which circulates talking books via mail to the vision impaired and others unable to read or use printed books. Hosts Senior Connections Program. No public services provided at System headquarters.

Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) Trainings provide comprehensive and systematic training on various topic areas for domestic violence program staff, to improve their understanding of current issues impacting women who are abused. Such topics include: the nature and dynamics of domestic violence, socio-political understanding of domestic violence, cultural competency, offender accountability, the impact on society, effects on family members, safety plans, service provision, lethality, counseling, substance abuse, mental illness, relevant provisions of state and federal law, working operations and limits of various elements of the civil, criminal justice and legal system, and immigration.
