Provides financial education, counseling and ongoing support to consumers nationwide, helping them to develop the tools they need to better manage their debt. Counselors offer individual financial analysis, budget counseling, financial goals and guidance. Also offers a debt management program including lower interest rates and payments on credit cards. Bankruptcy and housing counseling are also available.

The Accounting Unit provides administrative, fiscal support to the Agency and consists of the 4 units outlined below: 1.Administrative Accounting is responsible to oversee tasks related to departmental budgetary issues, expenditures, and State & Federal reimbursement, etc. 2.Public Assistance Accounting processes all benefit payments for Family Assistance, Safety Net, Emergency Assistance for Adults, and Emergency Assistance for Families, as well as SNAP and HEAP. 3.Child Welfare Accounting processes payments for Child Care, Foster Care, Children's Services and Adult Protective Services. 4.Audit Unit performs reviews of Child Care providers, as well as selected applicants for medical and public assistance.
