Provides technical assistance for employers wishing to establish on-site or near-site child care resource and referral services as employee benefit. On contractual basis to employer, development and implementation of dependent care assistance plans, work site seminars on work and family issues. Offers monthly classes.

Inspects and registers New York State Office of Children and Family Services family day care and school age child care programs. Provides technical assistance and ongoing monitoring of programs to ensure compliance with state regulations.

Focuses on creating asset development opportunities for both residents and entrepreneurs. Assists individuals in growing and investing in their communities by providing lending capital, training, consulting, technical assistance, seminars, workshops, and low-cost business rental space to new and existing businesses that would otherwise lack access to these services. Assists area residents in developing asset based thinking by providing financial literacy training, basic budgeting, and home appliance loans to combat predatory lenders. Loan programs and Cottage Industry Assistance Program target low to moderate income existing and prospective individuals. Chautauqua Microenterprise Loan Fund and the Women and Minority Microenterprise Loan Fund Programs help small businesses by providing small business start up and expansion loans. The small business incubator offers small businesses an opportunity to grow and stabilize with subsidies around rent, business services, and technical assistance. Program site serves as a Warming Center during times of excessive cold and as a Cooling Center during times of excessive heat. Monitors regulatory compliance by service providers within the district. Provides technical assistance and training to consumer agencies, maintains medical records provides program evaluations as well as statistical and analytical reports, and provides oversight and technical assistance to agencies that offer services to developmentally disabled individuals in Nassau and Suffolk counties. Critical Incident Stress Management - is an intervention protocol developed specifically for dealing with traumatic events. It is a recognized process for helping those involved in a critical incident to share their experiences, vent emotions, learn about stress reactions and symptoms and given referral for further help if required.
