Provides prevention programs for elementary, middle, and high schools, after school, and other programs to educate and enhance well-being for youth in Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade.

Brings together people who might not otherwise have the opportunity to meet and get to know each other through small group deliberation and dialogue that promotes racial and social justice. Offers a school exchange program that matches students at seven Syracuse city schools with those attending seven suburban high schools and middle schools to participate in facilitated dialogue sessions that aim to break down racial and ethnic stereotypes and build bridges of understanding.

Provides breast and cervical cancer outreach, education and advocacy for all women. The program assists and provides transportation to uninsured and underinsured women in accessing free annual mammograms and cervical screening through the Breast and Cervical Treatment Act.

Provides educational and informational programs on MS. Also provides financial assistance, support groups, MS Service Day, scholarships, care management and other support services.

Provides a safe space for for LGBTQ youth to gather and receive support from caring adults through case management services, HIV, STD and Hepatitis C testing, mental health assessments, referrals for LGBTQ affirming clinical services, and referrals to LGBTQ affirming health and human service providers. Advocates represent Association on Alzheimer's-related issues to federal, state, and local government and to health care and long-term care providers. The benefit is to increase federal research funding, growth in state-supported services, and improvement in quality of care for those in residential facilities.

Offers trainings and education to families, parent-to-parent support, and advocacy assistance. Provides funding to families for respite, therapeutic recreational activities, summer camps, specialized adaptive equipment, home modifications, and emergency services.

Provides education to individuals and groups in the community including school age children, senior citizen groups, church groups, and fire departments.

Provides screening tests for lead poisoning and monitors the records of all lead screening conducted in Oswego County. Ensures appropriate medical follow-up and makes referrals for environmental, and nursing visits when indicated.

Offers weekly young adult and transgender social support groups, individual and family counseling, free and confidential HIV/STD screening (up to age 45) and referrals to sexual health services. Also provides a Friday night drop-in center, up to age 21, for socializing with peers and drop- in short-term counseling, as needed. Provides social and educational groups for gay, bisexual and queer men (ages 18-45). Offers school-based services to include outreach and individual counseling at targeted schools, gay straight alliance (GSA) coordination and workshops, and workshops on Understanding Sexual Orientation and Understanding Gender. Offers workshops to professionals on working with LGBTO youth and creating safer school.

Provides education and training presentations on what is a poison, and materials around the house and various environments which contain harmful toxins, including medications, and how to avoid them, and what to do in case of exposure or ingestion. The Cortland LGBTQ Center provides referrals to LGBTQ safe and sensitive services, educational trainings for community members and professionals, youth and family support services, group activities, advocacy and referrals, LGBTQ community event planning, and collaborations with businesses to create LGBTQ-friendly services.We care currently working remotely with plans to reopen in-person services sometime Fall 2021.
