Provides three types of alcoholism meetings: open, which are open to anyone closed, for members and newcomers affected by another person's drinking and ala-teen, restricted to individuals up to 18 years of age. Special focus meetings are available for women, men, gays, and parents. Anonymity is protected for all members. Nassau County information service can provide pamphlets, meeting lists and al-anon information for clergy and social workers, health and education professionals. Arrangements can be made for speakers to present at schools, health fairs and other institutions. Monthly open meetings are specifically available for clergy, doctors, social workers and general public.

Preserves the history of the 14th Regiment New York State Militia and the American Civil War. Living history presentations are done at schools, historical societies, museums, parades and other events. Sets up a camp that resembles one from the Civil War, does drill and firing exhibitions and runs through a brief drill using wooden muskets. Restores grave sites of the Veterans of the 14th Regiment N.Y.S.M. All presentations are given in full civil war uniform.
