ArtsWestchester partners with schools and school districts to develop and implement programs that integrate the arts into the curricula, to use the arts as an instructional approach to improve teaching and learning, and to meet NYS standards in the arts and other subjects. ArtsWestchester also provides multi-session artist residencies to community sites and human service agencies including shelters, day-treatment programs and mental health facilities, Head Start Programs, and after-school programs. The programs are based on a multi-session residency model, enabling artists to partner with educators or site coordinators to establish goals plan and implement an arts-making project. Residencies are conducted by artists who apply for the Directory of Teaching Artists through a competitive process. Also identifies, documents and showcases cultural traditions of county residents through its Folk Arts Program.. In addition, ArtsWestchester owns and operates a nine-story cultural center, the Arts Exchange, in downtown White Plains, where it mounts exhibitions, presents cultural programs and concerts, and offers classes.

Acts as a clearinghouse and referral service for information on rare diseases. Maintains a comprehensive rare disease database, which provides families with information on over 1,100 rare disorders. Its networking program links families with other families who are afflicted with similar disorders. Accumulates and disseminates information about orphan drugs and devices, making known their availability. Advocates the needs of people with rare disorders. Provides disease specific medical reports written in lay language. Also offers a Medication Assistance Program for specific drugs and a medical equipment exchange program. The HEATH Resource Center of The George Washington University is the (Online) national clearinghouse on post-secondary education for individuals with disabilities. Support from the United States Department of Education enables HEATH to serve as as information exchange about educational support services, policies, procedures, adaptations, and opportunities at American campuses, vocational-technical schools, and other post-secondary training entities.
