Offers drop-off recycle locations for convenient disposal of cell phones, due to the environmental impact law which prohibits cell phones to be thrown out with regular garbage. Many drop-off sites are retail stores, municipal town halls and village offices.
Donated phones are distributed to victims of domestic violence so they can safely access 9-1-1.
Provides 9-1-1 capable cell phones to victims of domestic violence who meet eligibility requirements.

Accepts donations of used cell phones through a network of collection sites across the country. The phones are utilized to provide veterans with a free phone and a year of paid phone service.
Collects used Verizon cell phones and donates them to individuals in domestic violence shelters throughout the country. Used phones can be dropped of at any local Verizon retail store.

Cell phones that have been donated by the community are programmed for 911 only service. These phones are then distributed to any Ulster County resident age 60 and over that requests one.EFFECTIVE 3/31/2008 ANALOG CELLPHONES NO LONGER HAVE SERVICE. PLEASE CONTACT THE OFFICE FOR THE AGING TO REPLACE THE ANALOG CELLPHONE FROM THE OFA WITH A DIGITAL CELLPHONE.
