An annual program of Colvin Cleaners that collects donations of winter garments, including coats, hats, scarves, gloves, and boots, for families in need. Donations are collected all year long. Provides shelter service for stray, homeless, abused and abandoned animals within the City of Elmira. Offers and promotes low-cost animal adoptions. Hosts low-cost spay/neuter clinics for the public. Also investigates complaints of cruelty, neglect, and abandonment. All complaints are kept confidential, and can be made anonymously.

Community Fridge & Shelves at Delavan Grider Community Center - Rooted In Love

Offers a supply of fresh produce, dairy items, hygiene products, socks, and various household necessities. Located outside the Delavan Grider Community Center. The fridge and shelves are supplied by a collaborative effort between Rooted In Love, Club HBHF, and Dion's Dreamers. Rooted In Love contributes fresh produce and dairy items; Club HBHF contributes personal protective equipment, socks, and various household necessities; and Dion's Dreamers contributes hygiene products. Items are also contributed by different partner organizations each week.

Vision Rehabilitation/adaptive skills training for activities of daily living. Orientation and mobility travel training. Social work/case management services. Support groups available - 3rd TU of month 10:00AM-12:00PM. Call for accessibility needs. * Offers vocational/employment services that include: assessment, placement, job supports and training, follow-up. * Offers Adaptive Technology services - to support vocational/educational goals - adaptations for computers, specialized software and hardware by referral of a New York State Commission for the Blind vocational rehabilitation counselor.* Provides children's services that include: Monthly recreation programs for children who are legally blind and their families.
