THIS IS A VOLUNTEER/DONATIONS PROGRAM. Those needing school supplies or holiday gifts should contact their child's school nurse or social worker.Volunteer effort to benefit needy elementary school children in Tompkins County and surrounding areas with clothing, school supplies and toys.Members of the Cornell community and the general public can participate in either or both Elf programs: winter holiday: children in greatest need are identified by their schools. Profile sheets about each child are distributed to individuals, families or groups who purchase, wrap and deliver gifts to the child's school. To protect the families' anonymity, the school arranges for distributing the gits. backpack: new backpacks and school supplies from a list are purchased during the summer. Filled backpacks are delivered to schools before school starts.To help the Elves: become a sponsor and purchase items for the programs donate by sending a check to The Elves c/o Bill Alberta, 751 Elm Street Ext.Ithaca, NY 14850. All donations go directly toward buying items for the program.

Sign-ups for Broome County Toys for Tots will start on Monday December 2nd and will end Saturday December 14th The Broome County Toys for Tots headquarters is open Monday - Friday from 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm and Saturdays from 9am-12pm. we will also have extended hours for sign ups on Wednesday December 4th and December 11th from 5:00pm until 8:00pm.Donations can be dropped off during the hours of operation until Tuesday, December 19th. Drop off barrels are located at the Binghamton Police Department, Broome County Sheriff's Office, Endicott Police Department, Johnson City Police Department, and the Vestal Police Department.
