Provides the government of Oswego County with a variety of professional unpaid volunteer skills including administrative, technical, and operational for emergency tactical, administrative, and logistical communications.

Operates the MERS Control emergency services dispatch center and coordinates ambulance responses for the City of Buffalo, New York State Thruway throughout Erie County, and the Buffalo Niagara International Airport. Responsible for supporting operations of the county's Hazardous Materials/WMD Response Team (ECHMRT), Specialized Medical Assistance Response Team (S.M.A.R.T.), and Western New York Stress Reduction Program. EMS Staff responds to emergencies and disasters around the county including MCI-Mass Casualty Incidents, School Bus accidents and those events requiring specialized emergency medical services and/or coordination of EMS resources.

Ensures public safety and health by addressing different emergencies.
