Provides professional planning and technical services regarding the Town's land use, environmental choices, infrastructure and cultural and natural resources for all Town elected and appointed Boards and the public.

Gathers information on existing physical, social, and economic conditions, projects future trends, examines alternative courses of action, and develops long- and short-term land use plans to guide the growth and revitalization of urban, suburban, and rural areas within the county.

Represents the County and the City of Syracuse in all planning matters. Provides planning services to cooperations with non-profit agencies.
