Responsible for developing new ways to improve the delivery of supports and services to New Yorkers with developmental disabilities and their families. Focus is on increased opportunities for consumers to become involved in the community, secure education, employment and housing. Comprised of volunteers appointed by the Governor, council meets quarterly to identify and discuss current issues.

Assists in planning for the city of Long Beach, and the development of special projects within Long Beach such as the Affordable Housing Projects, Commercial Rehab Programs and CD Block Grants. Located in room 502.

Through its licensing and business filing capacities the division promotes business growth while protecting the health, safety, and welfare of all New Yorkers.

Regulates professional boxing and wrestling contests, matches, and exhibitions within the State of New York pursuant to Title 25 of the Unconsolidated Laws. Comprised of three members appointed by the governor, in addition to a physician, a Medical Advisory Board, and staff, SAC administers licenses, enforces rules and regulations, and ensures that medical and safety standards are being met. It provides training seminars for referees, judges, and inspectors, oversees hundreds of events annually across the state, and is committed to promoting and maintaining the health, safety and integrity of its regulated athletic activities.
