Monitors and addresses Cortland County housing needs through several programs.

Provides opportunities for agencies to present current issues facing Long Island's homeless and educates professionals about available services. Coordinates applications to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for homeless funding and conducts an annual Homeless Count. Provides technical assistance to local organizations whose services do not meet the criteria for HUD funding, but are essential for meeting the needs of the homeless.

Accepts referrals from people who have a room in their home to rent to a reliable home seeker needing affordable rental housing. Conducts criminal background checks, reference checks, and personal interviews of all parties. Call for more information.

Organizes residents to engage in civic actions to support fair housing.
