Program designed to encourage and maintain healthy lifestyles in elderly residents of the Buffalo River Community by providing affordable healthy meals, facilitated physical activity, peer interaction and socialization, and health care navigation and access to support services. Program activities include congregate dining, low-impact aerobics exercise, pinochle, cards, Bingo, art classes compliments of Art Services, Inc., healthy aging education, recreational activities, day trips, and more. Transportation is provided for those in need to and from all the VCA senior programs on Tuesday through Friday.

Provides case management, education programs, information and referral, social and recreation programs, nutrition program, fitness classes, outreach, and transportation for medical needs, shopping, and nutrition program. Serves as a Cooling Center during times of extreme heat. Always call to make sure a Cooling Center is open before going there.

Provides a full complement of services to adults ages 55 and over. Daytime programming includes breakfast, lunch, take-home food, exercise, field trips, transportation services, health and wellness information, assistance with senior benefits/issues, recreation and cultural activities, technology classes, workshops, and referral services. Also offers an emergency food pantry, open to residents living in zip code 14204. All services are operated and managed by seniors.

Provides daily hot meals in a social atmosphere. People can also opt to order frozen meals to take home. After school program offered for youth during the school year and 6 week summer camp offered when school not in session. Additional services include a private book club, bible study, exercise group, licensed daycare, community resource information, line dancing, and daily activities for seniors. Offers a location where older adults in the community can come and socialize and get involved in activities. Also provides information and referrals to resources in the community that they can utilize.

Assistance in filling out forms, information and referral. Portal to portal transportation for medical appointments and limited groceries. Hot, nutritious lunches. Center provides recreational activities, educational and health programs (blood pressure, hearing, cholesterol screening). Organized trips (day and overnight).

Provides EISEP Case Management, Personal Emergency Response Systems (PERs), In-Home Contact and Support, Health Insurance Information Counseling Assistance Program (HIICAP), Home Delivered Meals (HDM), Congregate Meals, Nutrition Counseling, Nutrition Education, Information and Assistance, NY Connects Options Counseling, Afternoon Trips and Transportation, and Senior Center Recreation and Education. Has a contract with the Center for Elder Law & Justice for Legal Assistance.

Offers a variety of activities for local seniors to get together to socialize, have fun and be a part of their community, including help to find services or resources in the community. Offers speakers, trips and programs.

Offers social and educational programs, dancing, arts and crafts instruction, exercise, parties and guest speakers.

Offers a place for older adults to meet, social events, informational presentations, exercise and special events are offered at the community center.

Provides a community based Senior Citizen Center. Offers socialization, recreation and support services.

Lenape Seniors are welcoming all people age 55 and up interested in gathering for activities.

Offers a location for seniors to engage in recreational and social activities once a week. Senior can participate in games, ceramics, luncheons, and low impact exercise classes.

Senior club for seniors in Monticello that addresses the needs and interests of persons 60 and older.

Offers a place for older adults to gather and socialize through a variety of activities. Also is a cooling center during times of extreme heat waves.

Information on activities going on in the Walden area for seniors, speakers subjects related to seniors and monthly bus schedules.

Offers various activities and programs, in community centers in the area, for older adults to socialize and have fun together with exercise class, art instruction, card games and more.

Provides programmed activities and services for participants from the Villages of Oyster Bay, East Norwich, Bayville, Locust Valley, Brookville, Oyster Bay Cove, Mill Neck, Muttontown, Matinecock and the surrounding area who are 60 years and older. Activities and services include comprehensive social services, meals, food pantry if eligible, used clothing shop, transportation, referral of home care workers, fitness and exercise classes, exercise equipment work-outs, computer classes and five times weekly adult day service program for frail elderly. Seniors can become involved in advocacy issues, bible study, bingo, dances, nutrition counseling, trips and tours, volunteer opportunities and receive information about and referral to other services. Senior Center lunch is served Monday through Friday. Adult day service is provided Monday through Friday.
