Is dedicated to being the foremost world-class center of Asian and Asian American arts and culture. The Charles B. Wang Center manifests this commitment by creating, establishing, organizing and documenting programs of the highest caliber that reflect both traditional and contemporary Asian and Asian American cultures and societies. These programs include exhibitions, films, lectures, conferences, performances, and educational discussions. The Charles B. Wang Center also supports scholarship and publications of eminence and intellectual merit. In public programs that respond to the broad issues of Asian and Asian American arts and culture, the Charles B. Wang Center seeks to create a dialogue between the established and the experimental, and between the past and the present. Central to the Charles B. Wang Center's mission is the encouragement of an ever-deeper understanding and enjoyment of Asian and Asian American arts and culture by diverse local, national and international audiences. These audiences are composed of students, faculty, artists, scholars and general public members of the Stony Brook community that the Center serves. The Charles B. Wang Center is ideal for hosting a variety of conferences and events. The versatile 124,000-square-foot layout features five multi-purpose meeting rooms of various sizes, two lecture halls, a fully equipped 239-seat theater, four open-air galleries and a non-denominational chapel. On the main floor is Jasmine, a food court cafe offering an array of delicious, fresh and seasonal Asian dishes. With state-of-the-art technology, the Charles B. Wang Center has the ability to link scholars and researchers from all over the world in real time. SPORTS COMPLEX | STONY BROOK UNIVERSITY

Offers many athletic facilities. The Sports Complex consists of the The Pritchard Gymnasium; Stuart Goldstein Development Center; Kenneth P. Lavalle Stadium; Joe Nathan Field; Island Federal Credit Union Arena; University Tennis Courts; University Field, University Pool, University Track and Dubin Family Athletic Performance Center. The Sports Complex is the home to summer camps offered to youth in various sports. Most athletic facilities may be used for recreational purposes when they are not scheduled for classes, intercollegiate, intramural or special events. ADELPHI UNIVERSITY PERFORMING ARTS CENTER | ADELPHI UNIVERSITY

Offers a performing arts center that is home to five intimate venues; The Concert Hall, the recital hall, the Olmsted Theatre, the dance theatre and a black box theatre. Although they are primarily used by our students and faculty throughout the academic year, all of our venues are available for rent by outside organizations. Develops recreation, sports and special event programs for Brookhaven town residents. Oversees six community recreation centers which can be used for meetings, arts and crafts classes, educational workshops, and special events. The Community Recreation Centers are Henrietta Acampora Recreation Center (Blue Point), Mastic Recreation Center(Mastic), New Village Recreation Center (Centereach), Shoreham Recreation Center, St. Michael's Recreation Center (Gordon Heights). Special services include the Town Historian and summer programs at Brookhaven Amphitheater and Gallery.

Holds summer programs at neighborhood recreation centers for grades K-6. Holds a half-day playground program for preschoolers on Tuesday and Thursday or Mon, Wed, Fri. Holds a recreation day camp for ages 7-12 and a counselor-in-training program. Call for place, time, and fees. Fall programs for adults and children include LEAP after school program, programs for 3 and 4 year olds, after school recreation (arts and crafts, physical fitness, story times, consumer education, sports programs and pools). Buildings rented out for parties--fees vary.
