The CDA acquires and rehabilitates blighted homes for use under our "Direct Sale" or "Rent with Option to Buy" Affordable Housing Program. This program serves first time home buyers who meet income guidelines.

Helps homeowners make repairs to their homes with construction costs of up to a maximum of $50,000 via an interest free loan. Repayment periods are no more than 15 years. Work includes removal of housing code violations, heating, plumbing and electrical repairs, exterior and interior renovations and remodeling.

The Cornell Cooperative Extension links the research from Cornell University and applies it to maximize New York State's agricultural and natural resources. It also provides programming, services, and information regarding sustainability, nutrition, food safety, obesity prevention, and youth development/education (through the 4-H program). It is committed to contribute to NYS communities and empower their futures. The Housing Resource Center provides services for Yonkers residents, that educate tenants, prevent eviction, end homelessness, and improve living conditions for singles and families. For over 20 years, we have been assisting households with a wide range of services, including: professional guidance to prevent evictions, code enforcement for improved housing conditions, emergency assistance for displaced families, tenant education and training short-term financial assistance with intensive case management for qualifying households.
