Assists and supports artists who live and/or work in the Town of Brookhaven. Provides regularly scheduled art exhibitions, workshops for adults and children in visual and performing arts, the annual Choral Festival at Brookhaven and much more.

ArtsWestchester partners with schools and school districts to develop and implement programs that integrate the arts into the curricula, to use the arts as an instructional approach to improve teaching and learning, and to meet NYS standards in the arts and other subjects. ArtsWestchester also provides multi-session artist residencies to community sites and human service agencies including shelters, day-treatment programs and mental health facilities, Head Start Programs, and after-school programs. The programs are based on a multi-session residency model, enabling artists to partner with educators or site coordinators to establish goals plan and implement an arts-making project. Residencies are conducted by artists who apply for the Directory of Teaching Artists through a competitive process. Also identifies, documents and showcases cultural traditions of county residents through its Folk Arts Program.. In addition, ArtsWestchester owns and operates a nine-story cultural center, the Arts Exchange, in downtown White Plains, where it mounts exhibitions, presents cultural programs and concerts, and offers classes.

Member artists exhibit paintings, photography, sculpture and mixed media to the corporate community. Also includes annual High Arts Showcase, featuring work by juniors and seniors of school districts participating in Council's Journey program, as well as several curated shows. Opening receptions with musical performances at all shows provide opportunities to meet exhibiting artists.

Preserves (jointly with the Walt Whitman Birthplace Association) the 1819 house in which Walt Whitman was born, making the poet, his life, and his work accessible to those visiting the site. Also offers lectures, workshops, seminars, poetry readings, Art Gallery, poetry festivals, and exhibits. Call for more information.

Brings outstanding local and nationally known artists and their work to the college in order to enrich the experiences of students, faculty, and the surrounding communities. The galleries also serve as a venue for the exhibition of artwork done by Suffolk's students and faculty. Offers a 4-acre property, including a main house that incorporates the original 17th-century home, one of the oldest structures on Long Island. There are also two carriage sheds and a walled garden. Sponsors programs on art and art history for the scholarly community and for the general public. Houses research collections on the art of Jackson Pollock and Lee Krasner and their contemporaries. Located in East Hampton, the center is open to the public: May to October; Tuesdays-Sundays. The center, a National Historic Landmark, is operated as an historic site and research facility, and consists of the artists' house, their studio, and the study center containing the art reference library. Offers a health home system where people with underlining health issues are guarded to seek medical help by going to doctor's appointment, living a healthy life style and managing the illness.

This program researches, documents, promotes and presents the folk and traditional arts of the diverse populations of Mid-Hudson region. They identify tradition bearers and folk artists within the community and present them in public programs such as concerts, library programs and festivals.

Located at the former Frick Estate, a spectacular 145-acre property in Roslyn Harbor in the heart of Long Island's fabled Gold Coast. The main museum building, named in honor of art collectors and philanthropists Arnold and Joan Saltzman, is a three-story Georgian mansion that exemplifies Gold Coast architecture of the late 19th century. In addition to the Arnold & Joan Saltzman Fine Art Building, Nassau County Museum of Art includes the Sculpture Park, Formal Gardens of historic importance, the Pinetum, ponds, woodlands, an architecturally-significant restored trellis, rare specimen trees, and marked walking trails. Serves more than 18,000 Long Island school children and their teachers who visit the museum each year for exhibition tours and art-related activities. The Education Department additionally sponsors extensive programming for children, adults and family groups and also offers professional development to Long Island's educators. Encourages the creation and appreciation of the visual arts. Activities include monthly meetings with demonstrations, lectures, critiques, morning sketch groups, workshops in various media, exhibits, newsletters, and other events, many which are geared toward raising funds for the Scholarship Fund. Promote understanding and appreciation of African American culture, art and tradition through education, interpretation, exhibitions, collections and programs for the enrichment of the public; with an emphasis on Long Island. The museum’s vision is to continue to be an outstanding regional resource for African American historical information and preservation.
