Provides summer residential programs that offer intensive, preprofessional training for New York State's most gifted and motivated young artists, who are considering careers in the arts or entertainment industries. Consists of seven component schools located throughout New York State: ballet, choral studies, orchestral studies, dance, medial arts, visual arts, and theater.

Sponsors programs on art and art history for the scholarly community and for the general public. Houses research collections on the art of Jackson Pollock and Lee Krasner and their contemporaries. Located in East Hampton, the center is open to the public: May to October; Tuesdays-Sundays. The center, a National Historic Landmark, is operated as an historic site and research facility, and consists of the artists' house, their studio, and the study center containing the art reference library. Provides an opportunity for Oswego youth to design and paint murals on the concrete walls along Linear Park on the West Side of Oswego. The project was created to clean up graffiti in the city.

Assists and supports artists who live and/or work in the Town of Brookhaven. Provides regularly scheduled art exhibitions, workshops for adults and children in visual and performing arts, the annual Choral Festival at Brookhaven and much more.

Provides a multi-arts center dedicated to promoting and supporting the visual and performing arts through education, exhibition, performance, and outreach for a quarter of a century. Also provides a free public art gallery, arts-in-education outreach, a performance and concert venue, a year-round film program and an international film festival.

Provides mural paintings of comforting scenes for patients in hospitals. These mural artists have brought smiles and joy to thousands of children and their families in hospitals around the world. Call for more information.

The galleries also serve as a venue for the exhibition of artwork done by Suffolk's students and faculty. ArtsWestchester partners with schools and school districts to develop and implement programs that integrate the arts into the curricula, to use the arts as an instructional approach to improve teaching and learning, and to meet NYS standards in the arts and other subjects. ArtsWestchester also provides multi-session artist residencies to community sites and human service agencies including shelters, day-treatment programs and mental health facilities, Head Start Programs, and after-school programs. The programs are based on a multi-session residency model, enabling artists to partner with educators or site coordinators to establish goals plan and implement an arts-making project. Residencies are conducted by artists who apply for the Directory of Teaching Artists through a competitive process. Also identifies, documents and showcases cultural traditions of county residents through its Folk Arts Program.. In addition, ArtsWestchester owns and operates a nine-story cultural center, the Arts Exchange, in downtown White Plains, where it mounts exhibitions, presents cultural programs and concerts, and offers classes.

Member artists exhibit paintings, photography, sculpture and mixed media to the corporate community. Also includes annual High Arts Showcase, featuring work by juniors and seniors of school districts participating in Council's Journey program, as well as several curated shows. Opening receptions with musical performances at all shows provide opportunities to meet exhibiting artists.
