The Tilles Center is committed to bringing the performing arts beyond the stage and into the community by welcoming learners of all ages and abilities to experience the performing arts first hand. The Tilles Center also offers Relaxed & Sensory-Friendly Programs. The Center presents relaxed performances with modified sound and light levels, specially adapted pre-performance materials, and quiet lobby areas with sensory toys for patrons who wish to move around. These performances are “non-shushing” and provide a comfortable environment for individuals on the autism spectrum and those who may have limited movement, sensory and/or complex communication needs. Relaxed performances are open to all neurodivergent and neurotypical audiences and take place throughout the season as part of our Family Fun. Non-profit children's theater offering voice and acting workshops for children 4-18.

The children taking classes perform dramatic, entertaining and educational productions offered to community based organizations, schools and colleges. Performances can focus on issues which involve HIV/AIDS, substance abuse, smoking, and violence prevention, targeting inner city youth.
