Offers members of the community the opportunity to participate in a music ensemble. The Music Department currently sponsors the following performing ensembles, Symphonic Band; College Choir; Suffolk Singers; Contemporary Music Ensemble; Jazz Ensemble; College Orchestra; and Guitar Ensemble. Contact the music department for requirements for each ensemble. In addition Concerts are normally given once a semester in December and May unless otherwise noted. Check the Arts and Entertainment Schedule for specific details. All events are free and open to the public.

Offers free outdoor summer concerts to the public. Performances may include, but are not limited to, jazz, blues, pop and classical music.
Located on the LIU Post Campus of Long Island University in Brookville the Center presents over 70 performances each season by world-renowned artists in music, theater and dance. Tilles Center for the Performing Arts is a prime venue for productions, performances and events. The 2,190 seat Concert Hall and 508 seat Krasnoff Theater offer wonderful sightlines and configurations for many types of events. The Concert Hall boasts a newly-installed sound system and impeccable acoustics, in addition to newly renovated seats. The Krasnoff Theater is especially prized for the intimacy and warmth for both performers and audience members. Presenting at Long Island’s premier performing arts venue on the easily accessible LIU Post campus offers many advantages for all types of renters. Discounted rental rates are available to 501 (c) (3) non-profit organizations. The Tilles Center is committed to bringing the performing arts beyond the stage and into the community by welcoming learners of all ages and abilities to experience the performing arts first hand. The Tilles Center also offers Relaxed & Sensory-Friendly Programs. The Center presents relaxed performances with modified sound and light levels, specially adapted pre-performance materials, and quiet lobby areas with sensory toys for patrons who wish to move around. These performances are “non-shushing” and provide a comfortable environment for individuals on the autism spectrum and those who may have limited movement, sensory and/or complex communication needs. Relaxed performances are open to all neurodivergent and neurotypical audiences and take place throughout the season as part of our Family Fun. In addition the Center offers Creative Aging- Dance for Parkinson’s. The Tilles Dance for Parkinson’s sessions are open to any individual with Parkinson’s disease, anyone with limited mobility, and caregivers. No previous dance experience is necessary. Offers concerts of local musicians or high school students, workshops on photography, social media and much more.
Free concerts every Friday from 6 PM to 8 PM at Canal Landing gazebo downtown Fulton. A variety of music is performed by different bands. Concerts start the last Friday in June and run until 4th Friday in August. Free stage band concerts at Bullhead Point on every other Thursday starting in July and ending in August.
Creates a versatile, first-class facility that will offer a diverse range of world-class entertainment for the South Shore and greater Long Island region. Situated only 30 minutes from Manhattan, we will strive to be an incubator for creative development for the artistic community while educating and inspiring young performers, writers, and technicians for careers within the entertainment industry. We share in the University’s belief that artistic expression and appreciation is an important part of the development of the full person. The 550-seat theatre hosts a variety of world-class performers from the world of theatre, music, dance, cabaret, comedy and more. Printing available at 10 cents per page B&W, 25 cents color. Meeting room available. Programming includes monthly concerts in the library (check calendar for upcoming events), weekly Quilting Club, monthly movies co-presented with the Collins Seniors, and two monthly Book Clubs. Numerous on-going children's activities offered as well. Serves as a Cooling Center for individuals during times of excessive heat. Attendees must wear a face covering and practice social distancing. Always call ahead to make sure a Cooling Center is open before going there.
