Provides a museum at Republic Airport containing hangars built and designed during WWII, filled with operational warplanes from that historic era and staffed with volunteers in authentic period flight gear. Because of its airport location, it is the only historic aircraft collection in the region that can regularly return to air, demonstrating the power and stunning beauty of aircraft designed for war.

Is an historic and beautiful 84-acre sanctuary of oak forests, ponds, streams, small mammals and scores of bird species, all of which can viewed via five miles of clearly marked trails. In addition, the preserve incorporates a 3,000-square-foot museum with displays about the ecology of Long Island, as well as animal exhibits and shows and interactive activities for children. The museum is also available for birthday parties on weekends.

The National September 11 Memorial Museum tells the story of 9/11 through multimedia displays, archives, narratives and a collection of monumental and authentic artifacts. The lives of every victim of the 2001 and 1993 attacks are commemorated.The 911 Memorial is a tribute of remembrance and honor to those killed in the terror attacks of September 11, 2001 at the World Trade Center site, near Shanksville, PA and the Pentagon, as well as those killed in the World Trade Center bombing in February, 1993. The museum educates, examines and explores the history of the Holocaust with authenticity, dignity and compassion through educational programs, lectures, exhibits, seminars and commemorative ceremonies.
Preserves and exhibits the history of Alexander Graham Bell and the development of the telephone. Exhibits include a re-creation of Alexander Graham Bell's workshop, the wire used in the first telephone transmission and models of early telephones.

Maintains the Wantagh Museum and engages in other activities to improve the historical and environmental values of the community. Meetings held the 4th Tuesday of each month (except Dec., June, July and Aug) in the Assembly Room of the Wantagh Library at 3285 Park Avenue, Wantagh.
Museum Complex contains several buildings displaying early American artifacts and activities, the Blacksmith Shop, Milk House, Boat House and others. Offers guided tours to schools and organizations. Museum Shop/Exchange Shop also on premises. Call for fees and to schedule a tour.
