Non-profit media arts organization providing new international and independent cinema in a five-screen facility.
Provides a museum at Republic Airport containing hangars built and designed during WWII, filled with operational warplanes from that historic era and staffed with volunteers in authentic period flight gear. Because of its airport location, it is the only historic aircraft collection in the region that can regularly return to air, demonstrating the power and stunning beauty of aircraft designed for war.
Serves as a nucleus of activities concerned with Hellenic language, history and culture, political life, social issues, economy. With the study of Greece and Hellenism the Center aspires to educate and nurture students with the values of Hellenic civilization. It also aims to form strong bonds between the University and the Greek-American communities of Long Island and New York, and establish connections and interactions with educational and academic institutions in Greece. State Theatre of Ithaca, Inc is the non-profit organization that owns and operates downtown Ithaca's last remaining historic theater. With just over 1,600 seats, The State Theatre hosts over 75 events each year including concerts, theatrical productions, comedy shows, classic movies, dance performances, readings, and community performances. Our mission is to enhance the cultural life of Ithaca and the Finger Lakes by preserving, operating, and promoting the historic State Theatre as an active venue for national, international and community performances and programming.
