Assists and supports more chronically addicted clients with inadequate support systems and substantial deficits in activities of daily living, interpersonal skills, vocational/educational skills and resources and maladaptive social behavior skills hindering recovery efforts.Services include: daily lunch research-based addiction treatment services including: Matrix Model Programming motivational interviewing contingency management treatment on demand regular and random urine screening social and health care services skill development in accessing community services activities therapies recreation activities and skill development information and education about nutritional needs, plus food care and preparation training vocational/occupational and educational evaluation, skill development, training and case management

Provides individual and group counseling for substance use disorders. Offers a variety of services including same day evaluations, medication assisted treatment (methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone), specialized group therapy, vocational services and activity therapy. Groups offered include Day Treatment, Structured Outpatient and Evening Treatment. Specialized groups include gender specific, co-occurring disorders, older adults, patients with legal involvement, Spanish speaking and Recovery Challenge group that specializes in services for patients with traumatic brain injury, learning/developmental disability, or history of special education.

Psychiatric evaluations and peer services are also available for program participants.

Connects individuals to treatment for those suffering from substance abuse, mental illness and domestic violence. Also provides housing preparedness, support and retention and employment services. An outpatient day treatment program for alcohol an drug addiction for individuals who need the support during the week, also includes AA meetings, individual counseling, GED and ESL instruction, education training and vocational counseling, dual diagnosis services and services in Spanish are available. Also provided are classes in anger management.

Intensive outpatient substance abuse day treatment program on an individual or group basis for men and women.

Provides a intensive three-phase alcohol and drug treatment program, taking place in the evenings, which also encourages family participation.Phase I - Educational sessions and group therapy, 2.5 hours three evenings a week for six weeksPhase II - Lecture and discussion sessions and group therapy, 2.5 hours two evenings a week for two weeks.Phase III - Relapse prevention techniques and group therapy, 1.5 hours one evening a week for twenty-four weeks.

Provides alcohol and drug day treatment program information for individuals struggling with addiction. There is not an AOD day treatment program in the County, as noted above, there are clinics. St. Joseph's operates an inpatient AOD inpatient program, but it is not a contracted service through the County.

Clients learn the skills necessary to lead an alcohol/drug free lifestyle and to make positive decision in their lives. The program is also based on the 12-step disease model and offers the DMV mandated DWI program. Services also provided for Spanish speaking individuals.

Offers the Outreach House Academic Center which is an included site program of the Islip Academic Center. This program serves students ages 14 to 21 in grades 9th - 12th at the secondary level. Class options include: 8:1:1.
