Provides one of the most vital units throughout the Sheriff’s office. Throughout the year, Community Relations Unit visits each Suffolk County School District as well as multiple clubs and various organizations. Its main goal is to bridge the gap between Law Enforcement and the members of the Community. In a safe environment, youth can speak to professional staff regarding concerns, stress, and pressure in their lives related to their school, family, community, peers, and/or substance use.
