Offers a 30-day psychiatric day program which includes individual, group and family counseling, recreational therapy, therapeutic socialization activities, emergency stabilization, medication, and a special education through Western Suffolk BOCES.

Peer facilitated psychosocial club for seriously and persistently mentally ill adults focused on socialization and empowerment. Members are invited to drop in for any of the gatherings. Offerings include but are not limited to: participation in community events, games, videos and crafts in a relaxed atmosphere designed to encourage interaction and reduce isolation. Transportation assistance is available when possible.

Provides learning experiences where individuals can develop strengths and skills that contribute to an individualâs employability in the community. Services include teaching concepts such as compliance, attendance, task completion, problem solving, safety, wellness while at work, socialization at work, communication, accepting supervision, personal appearance and appropriate work attire; goal setting, work ethics, and work tolerance.

The Sterling community center (SCC) is a person-centered, recovery-oriented, community-based center for adults who are diagnosed with psychiatric disabilities. The center offers activities, classes, and volunteer opportunities designed to help participants work towards individual life goals, and provide opportunities to learn new skills, establish social networks, participate in volunteer activities, develop employment opportunities and acquire mutual support.

Offers a social and recreational group for adults recovering from mental illness. The groups helps to reduce isolation and loneliness, and develop friendships, and enjoy recreational and social activities. Other activities include field trips, shopping, movies and dining out within the community.

Offers a program aimed at providing recreation, socialization and peer support for adults with psychiatric disabilities.

A drop-in center, for those who are program participants, to achieve competitive work skills, access computers, socialize with others, play music or sing, make deli type lunch, watch TV or do arts and crafts.

Offers a socialization and recovery program to Nassau County residents with severe mental illness, ages 18 and older. Provides opportunities in a "club house setting" for individuals to improve socialization skills, physical, emotional and spiritual health and decision making, reduce symptoms, maintain sobriety, and learn technology skills. Offers a psycho-social clubhouse, open six days a week, which helps its members to develop vocational, educational, housing and social opportunities. Participants have access to computers, educational scholarships, assistance with writing resumes, work incentives and benefits as well as placements in transitional and independent employment opportunities.

A psychosocial club where people with mental illness work side by side with professional staff in a shared effort to obtain or regain vocational and social satisfaction in their lives. Emphasis is placed on principles of advocacy and self help.

An Office of Mental Health (OMH) funded Recovery Center offering services for adults with mental health conditions. Services include employment support, benefits advisement, parenting classes and support, financial literacy development, educational services, volunteer opportunities, meals, and some social activities. Individualized, same day services are available. Certified Benefits Advisors on staff. Certified Employment Network offers Ticket to Work services for SSI/SSDI beneficiaries. ##REENTRY##

Provides 24 hour supervision at local community sites for adults with mental illness. Services provided at each site are restorative services, symptom management, community living skills, information and referral, crisis management, medication education and monitoring, and community integration. Staff provides supportive assistance and instruction in daily living skills and use of community resources. There are ten residences located in Nassau and Suffolk County. Transportation provided to local day treatment services.

Provides meaningful volunteer opportunities for people who are in recovery from mental illness. The companions are placed in approximately 25 locations including adult homes, nursing homes and also private homes and spend time socializing, sharing wellness tools and providing companionship. This program not only offers volunteer opportunities but it is a pre-vocational program which offers weekly trainings and skill building activities to enhance abilities and readiness for gainful employment.

A social and recreational program providing adults recovering from psychiatric illness with activities and programs to develop the strength and confidence necessary to integrate more successfully into the community. Groups provide social, pre-vocational services, skills, education and information and assist members in developing coping skills.
