Provides clinical intervention and support for adults with serious mental illness utilizing a multidisciplinary team to bring services directly to individuals in the community in a setting that best meets their recovery needs. Services include outreach and engagement, crisis assessment and intervention, community linkage, family and caregiver support and education, peer support services, legal interface, health assessment and related health and wellness education, skill building, psychiatric rehabilitation and recovery, and brief therapeutic support.

Provides peer recovery coaching and focuses on the following: promoting recovery and wellness through person-centered planning and participation; identifying and locating activities that fuel recovery and wellness; identifying and addressing barriers to recovery and wellness; identifying connections and building supportive relationships with people and places in the community; identifying and developing skills/abilities that promote self-management and independence; and encouraging hope, optimism, and healthy living.

Program offers Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) and Community Oriented Recovery and Empowerment Services (CORE).

Informs and assist members of the armed forces, veterans, their dependents and survivors in relation to (1) matters pertaining to education, training and retraining services and facilities, (2) health, medical and rehabilitation services and facilities, (3) provisions of federal, state and local laws and regulations affording special rights and privileges to members of the armed forces, veterans and their families, (4) employment and re-employment services, and other matters of similar related or appropriate nature. Provides staff-supportive phone lines to offer around-the-clock companionship and peer support to persons in distress or in need of someone to listen.

Matches volunteers in one-to -one relationships with Nassau County adults and youth recovering from mental illness. Recruits, interviews, screens, trains and supports volunteers who agree to a one year commitment to visit their Compeer friend for a minimum of fours hours a month. Provides program participants with supportive friendship, advocacy, increased social interaction, positive role models and access to educational community activities.

Helps wounded American veterans who suffer from moral injury. American veterans take part in a spiritual healing and peer support program in Israel.
