The Center offers multi-disciplinary assessments and evaluations for children suspected of having a developmental disability, including autism spectrum disorder. If the results of the assessment indicate the need for treatment, the team will provide individualized behavioral programming, occupational therapy, speech therapy and medical management including developmental pharmacology. Also specializes in the treatment of children, adolescents, and adults with behavioral, emotional, and psychiatric difficulties.

* Provides public education and referral for suicide prevention. NAMI Basics: a free 6-session course for parents, guardians, and other family living with a child or adolescent experiencing emotional and behavioral challenges. Nothing to Hide-Mental Illness in the Family: a museum quality, black and white photo-text exhibit consists of 20 photographs and interviews of families navigating the mental health system with their loved ones. The exhibit demonstrates qualities such as courage, resilience and the resourcefulness of family members advocating for their loved ones. NAMI Family to Family: a free 8-week course, 2 1/2 hours long, virtual or in person. Fopr family memeber and friends with an adult loved one with a serious mental health condition. NAMI ending the silence: youth awarenes and education, 50 min presentation in school for high schoolers. Provides awarances on mental health, signs, coping skills, miths, stigmas.

The Office of Community Services, under NYS Mental Hygiene Law Article 41, is responsible for ensuring a comprehensive array of services across the disability groups of mental health, substance abuse and mental retardation/developmental disabilities for the citizens of Schenectady County. The office operates the County's adult and children's SPOA (Single Point of Access) and AOT (Assisted Outpatient Treatment) programs and contracts out direct service provision to a network of provider agencies.
