Provides educational services for severely handicapped preschool children ages 2 1/2-5. Offers full day therapeutic language-based programming. Specializes in helping children with severe language and autism spectrum disorders. Provides speech/language, occupational, and physical therapies, counseling, auditory training, and movement and music therapies. Services provided on a group/individual basis. Provides parent educational instruction and full evaluations for children and adults through Evaluation and Treatment Center.

Provides trauma informed counseling, drama therapy, and art therapy for children age 3 to 12. Services are available to children who have witnessed domestic violence and who have been sexually assaulted or raped. Goal is to stabilize the child during and after the crisis. Counseling for children is short-term, usually four to six months. Provides referrals to have child evaluated for legal or custody disputes where there are allegations of abuse.

Outpatient clinic services for children and adolescents ages 3-21. Provides rapid and immediate access to psychiatric, individual, group, and family therapy. Licensed clinicians can help children and youth by addressing situations such as oppositional defiant disorder, conduct disorder, mood disorder, anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, addictions, school avoidance, traumatic experiences, PTSD, sexual abuse, domestic violence, suicidal thoughts, aggression, grief and loss, and reactive attachment disorder. Trained mental health clinicians have expertise in EMDR, DBT, Art Therapy, CBT, and Trauma Informed Care. Psychiatric care and parenting resources are available.

A museum-based experiential art education program for groups of individuals with cognitive impairments or other special needs. Uses guided tours, hands-on art workshops, and discussions specifically designed to meet the needs and interests of each participating group. Focuses on providing opportunities for recreation and socialization, self-expression, and increasing sensory awareness.
Program for visitors with dementia and their care partners at Albright-Knox Northland. Provides the opportunity to take part in discussions in the gallery based on selected works from special exhibitions, followed by a hands-on artmaking experience in the classrooms.

We serve individuals and families looking for a wide-range of mental health support. Our therapy sessions, like our other services, are available to everyone, regardless of disability status. Therapy sessions at Topfield can take place in our private and well-appointed therapy or art/education rooms, or if you prefer, while sitting or walking outside on the Center grounds.
