Provides a multi-faceted approach to therapeutic recreational activities for children. Programs include individual and group sessions, off site trips, on-site special events, adapted aquatics, horseback riding, wheelchair sports, pet therapy, music therapy, arts and crafts projects, massage therapy, aromatherapy, and wheelchair dancing. These programs help children cope with their illness or disability while reinforcing their individual goals while having fun.

Provides a therapy program using creative art therapies in many forms and styles to nurture an individual's emotional, physical, sensory and cognitive development. Each person is assessed and placed in an art therapy program (individual, group, dyad, family). The program focuses on children and adults with developmental or emotional disabilities, struggling with sensory, cognitive, speech/language delays, etc.

Assists children and their families with a multidisciplinary team to provide support during and after treatment. Provides services to children ages 5 to 18 years, who have problems that range from mild behavior disorders to psychiatric illnesses.

Provides trauma informed counseling, drama therapy, and art therapy for children age 3 to 12. Services are available to children who have witnessed domestic violence and who have been sexually assaulted or raped. Goal is to stabilize the child during and after the crisis. Counseling for children is short-term, usually four to six months. Provides referrals to have child evaluated for legal or custody disputes where there are allegations of abuse.

Provides respite for adults 21+ with developmental disabilities who have an interest in painting or other art projects. Provides adaptive art equipment. Call for an appointment.

The ADRC’s Art Therapy Programs are led by professional art therapists. They introduce projects appropriate for people with Alzheimer’s and other cognitive impairments, using a hands-on approach.

Provides educational programs including vocational training, physical therapy, occupational therapy, physical education, speech/language services, psychological services, family services, nursing services, community integration and transitional planning for students with autism, intellectual disabilities, multiple handicaps, or developmental disabilities.

Clown troupe provides humor therapy and entertainment to our volunteer locations and other agencies. Training is provided and ongoing group and individual training is offered.

State-of-the-art facility geared to specialized pediatric medicine and surgery. This is also a teaching facility to train future healthcare providers in pediatric care. Also, Main Street Singers chorus, Songwriting Workshop, Music Therapy: Individual sessions and groups for physically and mentally challenged children, teen & adults in collaboration with Music For Life Creative Arts, Therapeutic choirs: Teens on the Autism Spectrum, All Tuned In, for seniors in partnership with Meals on Wheels. Performances: Concerts by students & faculty for under-served community residents in nursing homes and at non-profit events, Overtures concert Series, providing free professional world-class music performances on our own stage or virtually.

Offers veterans, including those with PTSD, support meetings, networking opportunities, creativity and job preparation workshops and social activity experience to promote a healthy transition back to civilian life. A museum-based experiential art education program for groups of individuals with cognitive impairments or other special needs. Uses guided tours, hands-on art workshops, and discussions specifically designed to meet the needs and interests of each participating group. Focuses on providing opportunities for recreation and socialization, self-expression, and increasing sensory awareness.

Therapists and special education teachers conduct weekly programs in the community, for children, teens, and adults with developmental disabilities, providing personalized instruction in goal-oriented music and creative art therapy to develop communication, fine motor and social skills.

Traditional talk and creative arts therapies, and equine-assisted therapies, with NYS licensed professional therapists at Topfield Equestrian Center. We serve individuals and families looking for a wide-range of mental health support. Our therapy sessions, like our other services, are available to everyone, regardless of disability status. Therapy sessions at Topfield can take place in our private and well-appointed therapy or art/education rooms, or if you prefer, while sitting or walking outside on the Center grounds. We also offer telehealth therapy as needed.

Outpatient clinic services for children and adolescents ages 3-21. Provides rapid and immediate access to psychiatric, individual, group, and family therapy. Licensed clinicians can help children and youth by addressing situations such as oppositional defiant disorder, conduct disorder, mood disorder, anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, addictions, school avoidance, traumatic experiences, PTSD, sexual abuse, domestic violence, suicidal thoughts, aggression, grief and loss, and reactive attachment disorder. Trained mental health clinicians have expertise in EMDR, DBT, Art Therapy, CBT, and Trauma Informed Care. Psychiatric care and parenting resources are available.

Workshops with paint, clay, colorful papers, movements, communication, music and other activities to spur creativity in individuals of all ages with physical or developmental disabilities, plus their families and caregivers.
