Provides trauma informed counseling, drama therapy, and art therapy for children age 3 to 12. Services are available to children who have witnessed domestic violence and who have been sexually assaulted or raped. Goal is to stabilize the child during and after the crisis. Counseling for children is short-term, usually four to six months. Provides referrals to have child evaluated for legal or custody disputes where there are allegations of abuse.

Provides activities and socialization for people with moderate Alzheimer's disease or related dementia, which combines art, music, pet therapies, computer multimedia presentations, outings to places of cultural, historical and social interest, and other recreational activities. Therapists and special education teachers conduct weekly programs in the community, for children, teens, and adults with developmental disabilities, providing personalized instruction in goal-oriented music and creative art therapy to develop communication, fine motor and social skills.

Clown troupe provides humor therapy and entertainment to our volunteer locations and other agencies. Training is provided and ongoing group and individual training is offered.

Traditional talk and creative arts therapies, and equine-assisted therapies, with NYS licensed professional therapists at Topfield Equestrian Center. We serve individuals and families looking for a wide-range of mental health support. Our therapy sessions, like our other services, are available to everyone, regardless of disability status. Therapy sessions at Topfield can take place in our private and well-appointed therapy or art/education rooms, or if you prefer, while sitting or walking outside on the Center grounds. We also offer telehealth therapy as needed.

Program for visitors with dementia and their care partners at Albright-Knox Northland. Provides the opportunity to take part in discussions in the gallery based on selected works from special exhibitions, followed by a hands-on artmaking experience in the classrooms.

Assists children and their families with a multidisciplinary team to provide support during and after treatment. Provides services to children ages 5 to 18 years, who have problems that range from mild behavior disorders to psychiatric illnesses.

The ADRC’s Art Therapy Programs are led by professional art therapists. They introduce projects appropriate for people with Alzheimer’s and other cognitive impairments, using a hands-on approach.
