Provides a school for legally blind and multiply disabled students. Offers day, five-day and seven-day ICF program options, OT, PT, speech, music and recreation therapies, O&M, APE, behavioral services and social work.

Provides trauma informed counseling, drama therapy, and art therapy for children age 3 to 12. Services are available to children who have witnessed domestic violence and who have been sexually assaulted or raped. Goal is to stabilize the child during and after the crisis. Counseling for children is short-term, usually four to six months. Provides referrals to have child evaluated for legal or custody disputes where there are allegations of abuse.

A program which utilizes music and other auditory stimulation in various ways to help people rehabilitate from illness, injury or disability.

Offers professional development opportunities for music therapists, as well as those in related fields. Opportunities are offered through workshops, courses and conferences scheduled throughout the year. Call for more detailed information.

HorseAbility offers a variety of Equine Assisted Services for therapy, recreation, sport, education and/or wellness. Qualified instructors develop lesson plans that may involve riding, driving, or ground-based activities (e.g., grooming, handling, leading, observing). Through these activities participants can attain individualized horsemanship skills, and allow for the natural benefits of working with horses. No formal diagnosis is required for participation in our riding programs. HorseAbility’s lessons are open to all riders of any ability aged 3-adult.

Counseling and treatment available for people having problems with anxiety, depression, stress, relationships, anger management, or post-partum depression. Provides a response to mental health emergencies. Also makes referrals for Personalized Recovery Oriented Services (PROS) and Care Coordination.

Provides inpatient mental health care. Short-term, crisis care psychiatric hospitalization is provided for children, adolescents, and adults struggling with depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, schizophrenia, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), suicidal thoughts, and other mental illness. Stabilization of the presenting psychiatric crisis is followed by a collaborative discharge plan using supportive outpatient services. Specialized Programs include: Child and Adolescent, Adult, Women's and Men's Programming, Dual Diagnosis/MICA Treatment (Mentally Ill Chemically Addicted), Holistic Treatment Options (Yoga, Massage, Tai-Chi, Drumming, Pastoral Care), Alternative Therapies and Support (Pet Therapy, Art Therapy, Peer Support, etc) and more. In addition, also offers an Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) program which provides safe, evidence-based treatment for severe mental health conditions. Provides professional horseback riding lessons for all skill levels and age groups. Offers therapeutic riding lessons, training for the Special Olympics along with equestrian activities for children, summer horse and pony clubs. Volunteer opportunities for students (12 and up) and adults are available.

Provides a social day care program for the frail elderly, including transportation within our catchment area, hot meal, blood pressure screening, recreation, arts and crafts, music therapy, exercise therapy, trips, outings, and parties. Serves frail, elderly, at-risk or isolated persons over age of 60 with one or more physical or mental deficits who are continent, able to feed and toilet themselves and work in a group.

Provides supportive services to emergency workers to help them deal with stressful and traumatic incidents in a healthy way. Examples of such incidents include death or serious injury to a child or fellow emergency worker, a suicide, an injurious accident, or circumstances involving prolonged or extraordinary rescue or recovery operations. Services include pre-incident education, small or large group crisis intervention services, and referral services.

Program for visitors with dementia and their care partners at Albright-Knox Northland. Provides the opportunity to take part in discussions in the gallery based on selected works from special exhibitions, followed by a hands-on artmaking experience in the classrooms.
