An inclusionary therapeutic dance/movement program for individuals with developmental, physical, and intellectual disabilities. Instructors and qualified volunteer dance partners work with students in a dance studio studying technical and adaptive forms of classical and contemporary dance styles (tap, jazz, ballet, hip hop, creative movement). Innovative non-ambulatory program for dancers in wheelchairs. Day hab classes available for adults enrolled in area day treatment and day hab programs. Annual dance recital held in May. Provides sessions in a safe, non-threatening environment for individuals to grow and develop their personal potential. Instruction focuses on the fundamentals of movement, expanding each individual's natural kinesthetic repertoire and studying a dance style in modified or technical form. The season culminates in an annual May production featuring dancers accompanied by a supporting cast of high school and college interns. The production is open to the public and tickets can be purchased on the website.

* Offers psychological supports, including assessments, individual and family counseling, survivor support groups, peer counseling, and other services for children and adult burn survivors or those affected by experience with fire.* Offers annual weekend retreats for adults and young adult burn survivors, as well as a camp for chidren ("Camp Courage").* Offers school and work re-entry programs for burn survivors.* Provides community education and community awareness on fire and burn prevention.* Provides emergency assistance (as available) for affected individuals.

Provides children's books, movies, audiobooks, and music CDs for free loan. Also provides story hours and other programs for children and youth. Summer reading programs. BARK-9 therapy dog program promotes reading skills and encourages children who may be reluctant readers. Outside programming available. Will come to agency.

This is not Mobile Crisis - does not respond 24/7 and does not respond to calls immediately but will accept calls seven days a week to ensure a response is timely response is planned and executedTypical response groups could include a group of students, a group of co-workers, a group of friends, a group of parents and more than one group debrief can be scheduled depending on the size and composition of the individuals requesting services formal interventions: defusings/debriefings informal interventions: information and referral, education, problem solving, practical assistance support can be offered in these ways: small groups, one-to-one, over the telephone, electronically or any combination of these.The team DOES NOT provide counseling or other forms of therapy.Update 1/2022: Post Trauma calls from Cortland County will now come to 2-1-1.
