An outpatient treatment center offering: assessments, psychiatric evaluations, medication management and ancillary withdrawal (suboxone induction & maintenance.) along with outpatient individual and group treatment services for adults, young adults/adolescents and significant others/family members. Specialized programs include but are not limited to: women, co-occurring disorders, DWI's, criminal justice population, domestic violence and young adults/adolescents.

Provides support and structure for individuals experiencing behavioral/emotional challenges. Clinical services provided for 3 to 30 consecutive days and assists with transition back to usual living environment. Referral required. Options for treatment include: Psychiatric assessment, medication management, and in-home therapy, in person or remotely. Systemic engagement program that provides crisis intervention and works with a system of care towards crisis prevention and stabilization for individuals with developmental disabilities and co-existing mental health or behavioral health needs. Supports include a 24-hour crisis line, clinical assessment, development of a crisis plan, and integration of tools such as therapeutic coaching.

Offers a short term program that provides an intensive structured treatment environment five days a week/five hours a day for adult mentally ill and mentally-ill chemically addicted invidicuals who are experiencing severe psychiatric symptoms. It can serve as an alternative to an Inpatient Psychiatric Unit stay, or as a step-down program to decrease the length of an Inpatient Unit admission. A multidisciplinary team consisting of a Psychiatrist, Registered Nurse, Social Worker, Alcoholism Counselor and an Art Therapist provide treatment to assist the individual with regaining stability of their symptoms. Treatment services include assessment, psychiatric evaluation, health screening and referral, group and individual therapy, medication management, education and administration, activity therapy, family support and education, crisis intervention, discharge planning, and case management.

Provides consultation, evaluation and individual, group and family treatments for children and adolescents with behavioral and emotional difficulties and their families. Specialized programs under Ambulatory Care include medication evaluation and treatment legal services for divorce, abuse and criminal justice issues psycholtherapy for gay and lesbian youth and parent and professional education. Children with DSM-IV Axis l diagnosis and related significant distress and dysfunction are eligible. Call for further information.

Provides crisis counseling, individual/group/family therapy, psychiatric assessments, medication therapy and case management to children, youth and adults to prevent family dissolution.

Has the capacity to travel and visit clients in their own homes, adult care or nursing homes for the purpose of making assessments, monitoring the client's response to treatments and providing emotional support to the clients and/or family members.

Provides a range of specialized assessments and evaluations of developmental, learning, neurologic and psychiatric issues in children, adolescents, and young adults. Serves any child ages preschool through young adult who is struggling academically and/or experiencing emotional or behavioral problems related to a neuropsychological deficit. Parent and professional education workshops are offered by North Shore Child and Family Guidance Center staff who have expertise in child development and neuropsychology. Offers school consultation to help educators work with children with neuropsychological deficits more effectively.

Provides 24-hr service to persons with psychiatric emergency or emotional crisis.

Provides a mental health clinic for individuals with or without a substance abuse diagnosis.

Provides evaluation, psychotherapy and counseling for diverse populations. This includes group/individual/marital/family therapy, acculturation and counseling for the new immigrant, multicultural workshops, multicultural support groups, and psuciatric examinations and psychotropic medication, anger management, confilct resolution and workshop series.

Uses evidence-based, multi-phase models in individual and group counseling for outpatient substance abuse treatment. Services include individualized treatment plans, gender-specific groups, trauma-informed care, medical screenings, and psychiatric evaluations. Special Veteransâ Treatment track provides enhanced services including veteransâ support groups, case management, vocational services and recreational space for socialization, job search, and more, while addressing PTSD and other life stressors resulting from service in the military. DBT treatment is quite comprehensive and involves FOUR components: Individual therapy; Group skills training classes; Between-session telephone coaching and Consultation team for therapists. A unique aspect of our treatment package is that we have added a family therapy component to traditional DBT treatment in our clinic. The ultimate goal of dialectical behavior therapy is to help our clients and their families create a life worth living. This means accepting the pain that comes with life and all its struggles while engaging in value-based living. These values and their meanings are determined by each client and are always placed at the forefront of the therapy. Evaluates and treats children in the inpatient unit, aged 5-13 years, for emotional and behavioral problems, using short term stays (1-12 weeks). Discharge planning includes school placement, outpatient follow-up and family support. Also provides outpatient psychiatric evaluations and treatment for children, adolescents and families including medical assessments of medication for behavior disorders, school psychiatric evaluations, preschool assessment, forensic evaluation for various externalizing disorders such as affective disorders, hyperactivity, attention, impulsivity and conduct problems, affective disorders such as depression and/or mania and developmental disorders and language problems.
