Uses evidence-based, multi-phase models in individual and group counseling for outpatient substance abuse treatment. Services include individualized treatment plans, gender-specific groups, trauma-informed care, medical screenings, and psychiatric evaluations. Special Veteransâ Treatment track provides enhanced services including veteransâ support groups, case management, vocational services and recreational space for socialization, job search, and more, while addressing PTSD and other life stressors resulting from service in the military. Provides treatment services which may include emotional support, problem-solving assistance, information and guidance in a variety of counseling settings and approaches for individuals who are having difficulty in coping with a traumatic experience or in making the adjustments that are required by their particular stage in life. Clinic services include initial intake screening within the next business day and same day Urgent Care intake screening; comprehensive behavioral health assessment, screening, and monitoring; individual, couples, family and group therapy settings; and psychiatric evaluation which includes medication therapy and medication education and family support and education. Also offers to clients symptom management, support, case management and crisis intervention with face-to-face outreach and complex case management as needed. Provides an 23 bed acute psychiatric unit certified by the New York State Department of Health and the Office for Mental Health. It is affiliated with the University Hospital at Stony Brook, Department of Psychiatry. The unit serves mentally ill patients as well as mentally ill, chemically addicted (MICA) patients. Its interdisciplinary approach includes board certified psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses, clinical social workers, recreation therapists, and registered dietitians. It provides 24 hour nursing care by a team of psychiatric nurses and nursing assistants. The center follows a structured approach to allow for individual treatment. Therapies include medication management, individual and group therapy, family counseling and electro-convulsive therapy (ECT). Outpatient psychiatry is offered at 300 Atlantic Avenue, Greenport.

Offers a short term program that provides an intensive structured treatment environment five days a week/five hours a day for adult mentally ill and mentally-ill chemically addicted invidicuals who are experiencing severe psychiatric symptoms. It can serve as an alternative to an Inpatient Psychiatric Unit stay, or as a step-down program to decrease the length of an Inpatient Unit admission. A multidisciplinary team consisting of a Psychiatrist, Registered Nurse, Social Worker, Alcoholism Counselor and an Art Therapist provide treatment to assist the individual with regaining stability of their symptoms. Treatment services include assessment, psychiatric evaluation, health screening and referral, group and individual therapy, medication management, education and administration, activity therapy, family support and education, crisis intervention, discharge planning, and case management.

Offers unique and technologically advanced treatments for patients whose fears inhibit their quality of life. The clinic has also successfully treated clients with post-traumatic stress disorder, a condition caused by an unusually devastating and/or tragic experience. Some common phobias treated at the clinic include: travel on airplanes, trains; public speaking; animals and heights. The center also treats patients with PTSD.
