Provides various counseling approaches to individuals including group therapy, short term individual therapy for adults, marital and family therapy and medication therapy. Also offers counseling and case management services to individuals with mental health needs that are involved with the legal system, while incarcerated or on parole or probation. Offers referrals to other programs and facilities to help ensure all mental health needs are being met.

Provides youth a person to speak with if they are thinking of running from home, have a friend who has run and is looking for help, or are a runaway and are ready to go home. All inquiries are free and confidential.

Provides supervision of juveniles and adults who have been sentenced to probation including electronic monitoring and overseeing restitution payments. Offers juvenile diversion counseling and programming. The department also prepares pre-sentence investigations/reports for criminal and family courts as ordered by the courts.

Provides adolescent/youth counseling services to youth with mental illness.

Provides mental health and psychiatric services for children, adolescents, and adults provided by NYS licensed therapists. Psychiatrists and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, including a child psychiatrist, are available for consultation and medication management for clients enrolled in therapy. Counseling is available for people experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, gambling addiction, sexual abuse, adjustment issues, and other mental health diagnoses. Couple and marital therapy, family therapy, and grief and loss therapy are also available. Mental health services are also provided for adults and children who have a mental health disorder as a primary diagnosis and who may have a concurrent substance abuse disorder which is stabilized or in early remission. Collaborates with established OASAS licensed treatment providers to ensure that the mental health treatment needs of recovering substance abuse clients are met, to provide support for the clients' recovery process, and to minimize symptoms and the potential for psychiatric decompensation, psychiatric hospitalization, or relapse of substance abuse. Primarily utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Provides services to assist adults with mental health problems such as stress, anger, anxiety, bipolar disorders, depression, and grief. The Center for Problem Gambling provides specialized counseling treatment to problem gamblers and their family members through individual, group, family and marital counseling. Youth counseling. School-based assessment, counseling, and referral services for youth experiencing personal problems, family problems, alcohol and/or other drug-related issues are offered. Provides telephone support from peer professionals to individuals grieving the loss of a loved one in the military.

The County Department(s) of Probation and Corrections work to preserve the safety of the citizens and reintegration of offenders back into the community.

Offers a crisis intervention hotline to victims of rape and sexual assault. Also provides clients advocacy, transportation, court accompaniment and preparation, and individual and group counseling. Provides to the community education and primary prevention services. Crime Victim Compensation assistance through the NYS office of Victim Services.

Provides a full range of assessment and individual, family and group mental health therapies to adults. Included are dual recovery services that are provided in conjunction with area substance abuse treatment providers for individuals diagnosed with mental health and Substance Use Disorders (SUD). Also provides trauma care for individuals having mental health difficulties related to current and/or past abuse experiences, including victims, survivors, and offenders. Offers an Injection Clinic.

Provides telephone suicide counseling and suicide crisis intervention as well as limited text chat.

Provides child sexual abuse treatment for victims, their families and the offenders. Each family is assigned a therapist who is specially trained to work with families in which sexual abuse has occurred. Individual, group and family therapy is provided.
