This service allows people with disabilities to meet and talk with STIC staff who also have disabilities. Peer Advocates assist consumers to navigate the barriers they may face adjusting to a disability, or to finding solutions to everyday issues that they encounter.

* Provides confidential mental health counseling via phone, video counseling, and in-person to service members, veterans, and their loved ones.* Provides no cost care to a few other carefully selected populations, including victims of natural and man-made disasters, survivors of gun violence and their families, victims of crime, and survivors of abuse and assault.* Serves the above populations through the following types of volunteer mental health professionals and services: Psychologist, Psychiatrists, licensed marriage and family counselors, licensed clinical social workers, pastoral counselors. geriatric mental health: counseling, medication (evaluation, consultation and management) and referrals for elders and their families. caregiver counseling: ongoing education, supportive counseling, communicaton strategies and mental health care options through monthly meetings with a licensed clinicial social worker for support and obtain education. caregiver support group: free, therapist-facilitated group on caregiving issues. Participants need not be a Family & Children's Services client.
