Services include wellness self management, financial management, leisure planning, reduce risk of relapse, employment support, medication management and more.

Offers therapy for children who have been sexually abused or have been exposed to family violence.

Provides alcohol and drug counseling along with other psychiatric services for those who have a dual diagnosis of chemical dependency and mental illness.

Offers services of registered dietician, certified dietician/nutritionist and certified diabetes counselor. Provide nutritional counseling in seminars through Women's Health Center and through speaker's bureau. Plants/maintains herb garden on hospital grounds with help of psychiatry patients.

Offer intensive case management and support for people with severe and continuing mental health problems, especially individuals with many hospitalizations, and who need help taking medication or following a prescription, finding a place to live or using work and other support services.

Offers services of professional registered nurses trained in the examination of survivors of rape/sexual assault. Provides immediate physical, emotional, and forensic care. Victims should report to emergency room at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip, Stony Brook Hospital in Stony Brook, Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead, or to local police station and request sexual assault nurse examiner. Does not require police involvement.

Provides support to individuals diagnosed with developmental disabilities, and their families through respite services, helping to improve quality of life, crisis intervention, and other individualized support care.

Provides the residents of Nassau County with a constituent centered and holistic approach to the delivery of services and information through and between its Office for the Aging, Office of Mental Health, Chemical Dependency, and Developmental Disabilities Service, Office for the Physically Challenged, and Office of Youth Services. The department facilitates the sharing and exchange of knowledge, skill, and professionalism in a comprehensive and integrated manner. Offers a comprehensive recovery-oriented program for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. The goal of the program is to integrate treatment, support and rehabilitation in a manner that facilitates the individual's recovery.

Prevention services for young people and families who may be at risk for substance use disorder. Evidence-based interventions and workshops include Active Parenting, Strengthening Families, Teen Intervene, Too Good For Drugs (in the schools), and individual counseling.

Provides individual, family, group counseling, and crisis intervention services. Calls received after 10pm and weekends are referred to Long Island Crisis Center hotline. Services also offered in Levittown and Bethpage.

Offers training programs for teens and adults focused on youth, teens and adults. A five-step action plan is available to help an adolescent showing signs and symptoms of a mental health concern or in an emotional crisis. Services include an eight-hour training class and certification.

Provides workshops and seminars on Adolescent Suicide Prevention, Stress Reduction and Crisis Intervention at schools for parents, students and teachers for service groups and community organizations throughout Suffolk County. Offers intensive in-home clinical services which focus on skill building and family support for children or adolescents diagnosed with severe mental illness.

A program which utilizes music and other auditory stimulation in various ways to help people rehabilitate from illness, injury or disability.

Provides comprehensive therapeutic services for children, adults, families and couples throughout Nassau County. Issues addressed include abuse, adjustment to changes, anxiety, depression, chronic psychiatric conditions, relationship issues and trauma. Appointment required.

Providers of Skill Building Behavioral Support work to improve social skills, daily living skills, and rehabilitative functioning skills. Services aid in acquiring, retaining, or improving self-help, socialization, and adaptive skills, such as communication, travel, and adult interactions. Skills and appropriate behavior are fostered through activities and environments that promote independence, community inclusion, relationship building, self-advocacy, and informed choice.

Offers primary care in low risk obstetric care, well-baby and child care, gynecology and family planning, regular physicals, social/psychological and counseling services, geriatric care, nutritional guidance, employment physicals, annual health screenings, office-based minor surgical and dermatologic procedures and cancer screening. Provides assessment and treatment for families impacted by abuse. Services include psychiatric care, medication management if needed, and referrals for legal or housing issues.

Offers individual, group, couples and family therapy for children, adolescents and adults in NYS licensed mental health clinics. Psychiatric consultation, medication therapy and specialized services for children and trauma survivors are also available. Offers a wide range of services for youth with psychiatric hospitalization and families experiencing problems which interfere with healthy development of their children. Includes treatment for youth through age 21 at risk of suicide, those adjusting to divorce, or other family crisis, eating disorders, social difficulties, unmanageable behavior, depression, or anxiety disorders. Walk-in services are also available for anyone seeking support.

Works with clients who are: Suffering with chronic pain that is interfering with their quality of life; Overwhelmed by anxiety; Stressed by work, family and/or unmanageable finances and Struggling with pessimistic thoughts and painful memories. Acceptance and commitment therapy aims to free clients from the grip of emotional and/or physical pain, teaching them to live effectively with the difficult symptoms associated with chronic pain, chronic fatigue, depression, anxiety, panic and stress-related problems. Through its emphasis on values, behavioral commitment and acceptance, acceptance and commitment therapy prepares patients to be increasingly present in their lives and encourages them to commit to living in a rich and meaningful manner.
