Provide a spot for participants to socialize and enjoy recreational and leisure time activities with their peers. Most locations provide a healthy dinner during program hours. Members are asked to participate in development of the activities, serving dinner and other chores. Referral services are available in such areas as care management, pre-employment, vocational, housing, and benefits.

Provides a supportive environment for individuals with mental health disabilities to meet, socialize, share a meal, and explore their community. It is a perfect avenue to practice learned community and life skills through field trips, arts and crafts, music, games and sports.

Provides outpatient behavioral health services for clients and their families to help them deal with family crisis, stress at work, or more severe persistent mental health diagnosis. Offers evidence based practices, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) therapy, hoarding therapy, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) therapy, and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), all of which are provided to individuals through one to one and group therapy.

Peers are individuals with lived experience. Peers are available in the community and integrated into existing services (ex: hospitals, outpatient clinics, etc.) to support individuals on their positive pathways to behavioral health and wellness. Our peers serve as educators, advocates, supporters, and connectors to other resources.

The Sterling community center (SCC) is a person-centered, recovery-oriented, community-based center for adults who are diagnosed with psychiatric disabilities. The center offers activities, classes, and volunteer opportunities designed to help participants work towards individual life goals, and provide opportunities to learn new skills, establish social networks, participate in volunteer activities, develop employment opportunities and acquire mutual support.

Provides elderly patients with intense psychiatric care designed to prevent the need for hospitalization.

Coordinates enhanced mental health services for children and youth who are at risk of or have been diagnosed with a serious emotional disturbance (SED) and their families in Suffolk County. The CSPOA offers a centralized, coordinated referral process using a universal referral form and represents a consensus among community-based and residential programs to ensure appropriate service delivery to the highest needs youth.
