Primarily a family support and advocacy organization, FAMH strives to expand opportunities and improve the quality of life for all people with mental illness. FAMH provides referrals, education, and mutual support for families as well as social, recreational, and educational opportunities for consumers of mental health services. FAMH also strives through public education, to eradicate the stigma associated with mental illness.

Offers fully integrated mental health and substance use disorder treatment and services for children, adolescents, and their families. Services include: - Treatment and medication treatment services for a variety of mental health and substance use disorders - Targeted case management - Evidence-based therapies including DBT, PCIT and TF-CBT

Provides inpatient and outpatient mental health assessments and treatment for depression, psychiatric disorders, etc.

Provides mental health counseling and medication management to individuals ages 5 years and older.

Offers outpatient mental health services in a variety of counseling settings for individuals, couples, families and extended family groups who may be affected by mental illness or are experiencing serious emotional problems.

Provides a residential treatment facility for children and adolescents who have developmental disabilities, or have emotional or psychological problems, and require specialized support care.

Provides outpatient psychiatric treatment program services to Nassau and Suffolk counties. Outpatient treatment provided at local settings. Services include individual and group counseling, case management, medication, vocational rehabilitation and job placement, social and day treatment programs, state operated residential services, crisis residence, mobile crisis teams, ACT Team and Hispanic and geriatric programs.

Matches volunteers in one-to -one relationships with Nassau County adults and youth recovering from mental illness. Recruits, interviews, screens, trains and supports volunteers who agree to a one year commitment to visit their Compeer friend for a minimum of fours hours a month. Provides program participants with supportive friendship, advocacy, increased social interaction, positive role models and access to educational community activities.

Offers outpatient programs and a wide range of services by mental health professionals. Our staff includes psychiatrists, psychologists, licensed clinical social workers and activities therapists. Patients can join individual, group and family psychotherapy, and we offer specialized services for depression, anxiety and childhood emotional disorders. Specific programs include: Adult Psychotherapy Program for individual or group therapy; Family and Children's Program offering individual, group and family psychotherapy for children and their families and Options for more intensive care at South Nassau: Partial Hospitalization Program, five days weekly; Intensive Outpatient Program, three days weekly and Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit. * Offers a county-operated mental health facility that provides mental health counseling in various settings for community residents including those: Who have acute or chronic psychiatric disorders. Who may be experiencing difficulty resolving personal or interpersonal conflicts. Who are making personal adjustments to stressful life situations such as separation, divorce, widowhood, loss of a child, poor health, unemployment, family violence, delinquency or substance abuse.

Oversees the community-based system of mental health care for clients 18 years and older, in partnership with local mental health authorities.

NYP outpatient services allow women to receive psychotherapy service and medication management while remaining in the community.

Offers a drop-in center for consumers Thursday, Friday and Saturdays 4pm-8pm. Self-help groups are offered each night.

School-Based Mental Health Services (SBMHS) are mental health service provider programs licensed by the NYS Office of Mental Health, which operates on-site within a school facility. A School-Based clinic operates in the school setting at minimum one day per week and can be based on the level of need of the student population.

Provides outpatient mental health evaluation and treatment for adults by a team of psychiatrists and social workers. Services include individual, family and group therapy, and medication management. Also available are mental health services for the homeless.
