Mid-Hudson Forensic Psychiatric Center (MHFPC) is a secure adult psychiatric center for patients admitted by court order.

All treatments begin with a comprehensive assessment, including psychiatric, physical, and psychosocial components. Offers 12 inpatient acute care units, which includes treatment for mood disorders (depression, bipolar, anxiety), psychotic disorders (schizophrenia, schizoaffective), eating disorders, substance abuse, women's, older adults, child and adolescent issues. Also offers 2 amenities units with deluxe accommodations and concierge services, The Haven - a general psychiatric unit, and The Retreat - a substance abuse treatment unit.

Provides inpatient care for the elderly with dementia, depression, and psychosis. Services offered include: Pharmacotherapy, group therapy, family therapy and milieu therapy. Call for more information.

Provides outpatient chemical dependency programs for all ages. Offers individual/group/family therapy, ongoing assessment, and specialty groups including: Parenting/Children's Workshops, psychoeducational, couples, significant others, two-tiered mandated groups, Early Recovery, DWI, trauma recovery and anger management. Offers a wide range of services for adults with an AXIS I diagnosis and who are seriously and persistently mentally ill. Psychiatric treatment includes medication, individual therapy/support, rehabilitation services in vocation, education and recreation, psychological services, special treatment units including Trauma, Hispanic and Geriatric Units, Behavioral Treatment, and Treatment Malls.

Provides comprehensive mental health care in a secured treatment facility for individuals with developmental disabilities who have been arrested, engaged in criminal-based behavior, or have mental illness.

Provides short-term, inpatient psychiatric care after voluntary or involuntary admission. Addresses major depressive disorders, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and other psychiatric diagnoses. Offers psychotropic medication management, 12-step programs, individual/group/family counseling, electroconvulsive therapy, support/educational/recreational groups, activities of daily living, medical stabilization, and medical management of comorbidities.

Provides an inpatient psychiatry program for elementary-age students enabling them to continue their education while undergoing psychiatric treatment. Students are referred through parent or school referrals and admits youngsters, after thorough evaluation by social worker, psychologists and physicians. The length of stay ranges from 1-12 weeks, during which time a full academic curriculum is provided by Eastern Suffolk BOCES.

Operates a 27 bed unit for adults and geriatric patients with psychiatric and behavioral problems. These include anxiety and panic disorders, depression, manic depressive illness, schizophrenia, and eating disorders that require 24 hour nursing care and supervision. Weekly group meetings provide education and support for family members during the hospitalization period.

Provides short term, intensive care for acute psychiatric disorders geared towards women, such as mood disorders, anxiety disorders and psychotic disorders, and other mental health problems complicated by addiction or medical illness.

Provides inpatient and outpatient mental health assessments and treatment for depression, psychiatric disorders, etc.

Provides consultation, evaluation and individual, group and family treatments for children and adolescents with behavioral and emotional difficulties and their families. Specialized programs under Ambulatory Care include medication evaluation and treatment legal services for divorce, abuse and criminal justice issues psycholtherapy for gay and lesbian youth and parent and professional education. Psychiatric Aftercare Clinic for clients who have previously been inpatient.

Provides intermediate length inpatient psychiatric hospitalization for children age 12 to 17. Offers evaluation and treatment by a multi-disciplinary team providing a range of therapeutic services including (but not limited to) individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, art therapy, recreation therapy, special education programs, psychiatric nursing, milieu therapy, and medication and health services.

An acute care community hospital that provides medical/surgical services, long-term care, behavioral health service, Emergency Department, and a Bariatric Surgery Center with a complete program dedicated to weight loss.
