SAIL provides counseling and teaching, and facilitates information giving and sharing for individuals with disabilities, family members and other interested parties on both an individual and a group basis. Support groups that currently meet at the center include the Alzheimer's Support Group, the Autism Support Group, the Crohn's and Colitis Support Group, the Fibromyalgia Support Group, the MS Support, the Stroke Support Group, TBI Support Group, and the Self-Advocacy Support Group. The center facilitates the development of other support groups as requested.

Peers are individuals with lived experience. Peers are available in the community and integrated into existing services (ex: hospitals, outpatient clinics, etc.) to support individuals on their positive pathways to behavioral health and wellness. Our peers serve as educators, advocates, supporters, and connectors to other resources.

Provides an alternative to inpatient, psychiatric-related hospitalization through staff safe, supportive community houses to provide person-centered peer support and retreat for persons in emotional or near crisis states for up to seven days. Guests self-refer, come and go as they desire, and have 24/7 access to peer counseling/support and education to assist through troubling times. Mobile response team also provided for Dutchess county. Hospital Diversion Houses have helped many people to regain wellness while maintaining independence in the community.

* Provides peer counseling to gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and questioning individuals with questions and concerns on coming out and finding support and resources.

* Provides a twelve step program for those who want to stop their self-destructive, sexual behavior and helps members achieve sexual sobriety. Modeled after Alcoholics Anonymous, SA is a fellowship of men and women helping one another to recover from sexual addiction.

Provides peer-to-peer support program in which newly-diagnosed patients and/or family members are matched with trained volunteer patient in remission of same disease.

* Provides public education to increase early detection of kidney disorders. Professional education. End the Wait: Organ donor education, organ donor cards, living donor education. * Provides outreach to African-American and Hispanic communities. * Offers patient services such as: Peer support group. A one-to-one support system for pre-dialysis and pre-transplant patients. Kidney screenings. Renal diet literature. Social events. * Offers local and national grants given for research on kidney disease.

Provides a variety of services for people with disabilities in an effort to gain independence. Services include individual advocacy, peer counseling, systems advocacy, benefits planning assistance, education and employment support, ADA consultations, housing search assistance, and media resources.

Provides primary care, mental health services, psychiatry, medication management, substance use disorder treatment, peer services, and care management to individuals and families.

* Provides testing, counseling, treatment, medication assistance, and support services for individuals who have or are at risk for HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C.* Offers peer counseling and other emotional support for HIV-positive individuals and their families.

Adult services include pre-vocational services, supported employment, ongoing supported employment, education supports, psychosocial rehabilitation, family support and training, and habilitation.

Children's services include psychosocial rehabilitation, pre-vocational services, caregiver family support, community habilitation, supported employment, and day habilitation.

Support groups for people in treatment and their families. Referrals and connections to community resources. Peer support services by Certified Recovery Peer Advocates (CRPA).* Offers classes and programs that may include: Yoga & Nutrition. Refugee Recovery. Reiki and meditation. Open Mic. Workshops and presentations. Life skills. SMART Recovery (emphasizes self-reliance and habits). Art in Recovery. Movie Night. Other activities.

* Connects cancer patients with someone who can relate to their experience and provide guidance. Matches are individualized. While most matches begin with a similar diagnosis or treatment, they also include other lifestyle circumstances and considerations that are important to the patient.

A program that connects men and women with a recent cancer diagnosis to trained volunteer cancer survivors for education and support. Volunteers and participants with any cancer type are welcome as well as family members and friends.

Peer counseling is provided by individuals who have personal experience with a disability. Discussion groups and individual sessions allow participants to share experiences and feelings concerning disability issues in an open and supportive environment. Participants gain unique knowledge, hope and insight from others in similar situations, and they come to feel better about themselves and their futures.

* Provides general pre- and post-treatment, peer-led/peer driven services for individuals in recovery from substance use and who have been formerly incarcerated: Drop-in Center as a "safe haven" for members seeking support, free chemical dependency assessment/evaluation and referral to a local treatment facility. Also includes computer area. Reintegration support. Case management. Employment-related programming through various CCA reentry programs. Peer-coaching and mentoring to clients in the general recovering community.* Provides Citizenship assistance, such as restoration through voter registration drives, Certificates of Relief from Civil Disabilities and Certificates of Good Conduct, training and education on process and documents, and counseling individuals on how to discuss his/her criminal history with a prospective employer.* Provides Employment Services, including employment, education, and vocational readiness training and placement.* Provides peer trainings, e.g., Orientation, Group Facilitation, Ethics Confidentiality and Boundaries, Office Etiquette, Conflict Resolution, Peer Pressure, and Career Planning.

* Offers support services to individuals with leukemia/lymphoma and myeloma and their families. Copay assistance is available to eligible patients with certain blood cancer diagnoses to help with insurance copayments and insurance premiums. Free education programs and materials. Peer support for patients undergoing treatment. Family support groups. Fundraising. Public awareness and education in public schools.

Provides professionals to address issues and interaction and peer counseling within the group. Group meets the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 1:30pm. Call for schedule/information.

The warmline is a 24/7 phone line for individuals with a mental health challenge to speak to a certified peer who can listen, provide some guidance or referrals, and offer some support to the caller.
