Vocational Assessment and Counseling services are designed to assist patient with returning to or maintaining an employment situation through the use of compensatory approaches that support management of the ongoing effects of their brain injury. Assessment may include completion of formal tests to identify areas of career interest as well as strengths and weaknesses to consider when exploring appropriate potential employment opportunities. Counseling interventions may entail problem solving or troubleshooting strategies and the development of specific compensatory techniques to support organization, accuracy and efficiency on job tasks. Other areas targeted may include communication skills development, approaches that may facilitate successful performance at work. Exploration of other available vocational services, such as through NYS VESID are also utilized.

Areas of concern may be Attention Deficit Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, or the parent child relationship. Provides adult treatment for a variety of psychiatric and psychological disturbances including Depression, Anxiety and Panic, Bipolar Disorder, and disturbances of thought and perception (such as hallucinations and delusions). In addition, issues such as family violence, sexual abuse, and impaired interpersonal relationships can be addressed. Clinical staff is comprised of mental health professionals of Masters-Level training and Community Mental Health Nurses, along with access to the expertise of a psychologist and psychiatrists. Various modes of treatment are utilized and include psychiatric evaluations, individual psychotherapy, marital and family therapy, group therapy, psychological testing, and psychiatric medication treatment. Treatment is supervised by a psychiatrist.

Northeast Counseling Center is an interfaith mental health agency, offering psychotherapy and pastoral counseling. The center serves people in crisis, as well as those pursuing personal growth. Northeast Counseling Center is part of the larger organization of the Foundation for Religion and Mental Health FRMH which delivers services through multiple counseling centers and 70 satellite offices throughout New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania.
