Thanksgiving Dinner on November 17, 2024 from 2pm to 3:30pm

Volunteers (9th grade or older) welcome to help with stocking food pantry and packing food packages in Binghamton and/or Endicott. Volunteers help with holiday program distribution. Grade school student volunteers must be accompanied by adult.

Provides a variety of volunteer opportunities in the areas of office work, holiday bell ringers for the red bucket stations, and working in the food pantry or soup kitchen.

Offers the opportunity for people to match up with a family with a child with a life threatening illness and help in different ways to create a complete and festive holiday for Easter, Passover, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Hannukah.

Offers volunteer and donation opportunities to anyone who wants to help. Volunteers are needed for Thanksgiving and Christmas day meals to decorate, set-up and serve. Also accepts any donations of non-perishable food, decorations, and new toys.

Offers different types of volunteer opportunities, such as working with children as a tutor and/or mentor, and special event or program volunteers for book/toy drives, Holiday adoptions, etc.

Volunteers offered variety of opportunities. Call for details. Serves Broome, Chenango, Chemung, Cortland, Delaware, Otsego, Tioga and Tompkins Counties.

All-volunteer effort to meet basic needs of families at holiday time.Children aged 18 or younger or currently registered in the Trumansburg School District receive new clothes, hats, gloves, food and new, age-appropriate toys and books.Families of Sponsored Children receive canned goods and fresh groceries for the school's Christmas break.Homebound individuals living in Trumansburg area receive a fruit basket and goodie bag.

Provides a program where children of low income families write letters to Santa Claus, and volunteers read them and grant the child's Christmas wish. Also recruits anyone who wants to read letters and donate toys.

Offers Thanksgiving baskets and Christmas baskets for Deposit area residents. To register for baskets: Visit the Deposit Food Pantry on a Thursday 3pm - 6pm; Call the pantry and leave a message with name, address and number of people in household; Or speak to your pastor.Individuals who recieved a Thanksgiving basket do not need to re-register.

Volunteers needed for toy shop, soup kitchen, and bell ringers at Christmas time.

Manages the Toys for Tots program for families in need who reside in the Deposit Central School District. Low-income children (18 yrs or younger).To register your child call our office at 607-467-4000, or stop in during our office hours, registration begins in November.You must live within the Deposit school district. Be prepared to provide ID and proof of residency, if asked.The child must live with you, and be in your care. They must be 18 years of age or younger.We will ask you for your contact information and the following:The child's nameAgeGenderThree gifts/interests, the total of which equaling no more than $60Pick-up date is December 14, 2024If for whatever reason you cannot make it, and have no one else, call us at least one day before the gift pick up, and we can make arrangements. If you simply fail to show up, your gifts will be forfeited! We do not want your children to go without gifts, so please call us if there is an issue.

Volunteers for fundraising, client holiday programs, administrative assistance and book sales, depending on location.

Provides new toys to more than 600 children in Schenectady County ages infant to 12. Anyone wishing to donate a new toy may bring it directly to The Salvation Army.
