Support services provided to current open-heart surgery patients by individuals who have successfully recovered from open-heart surgery. Visit post-surgical patients one to two times per week. Country line dancing classes are offered on Monday nights, as well as a monthly Barn Dance.

All volunteers complete a mandatory 20-hour training program. Patient care volunteers help patients and families with household chores, shopping, transportation, and companionship. This is done in the patient's home setting, whatever that may be. Patient care volunteers are also utilized in our 6-bed residence to help prepare and serve meals and to provide companionship.Specially trained and/or professional volunteers also support bereaved families, play music, give massages, and provide pet visits.
