Connecting people through education, conservation and hands on experiences. We work to support birds and preserve local wildlife and their habitats on our unique and biodiverse North Fork, and beyond. We also host educational programs and hikes for adults, families and kids onsite, as well as at other locations.

Offers exhibits of Long Island and New York State geology and Long Island Native American culture and archaeology. The preserve consists of 62 acres of glacial moraine covered by forests, thickets, and meadows. There are about five miles of marked nature trails including trails for the visually impaired. Offering events, educational programs, summer camp, parties and volunteer opportunities. Call for details.

Offers volunteers a variety of opportunities of outdoor education and recreation, such as teaching, help at specific events, trail maintenance, gardening, exhibit construction, receptionist for 2-hr shift on occasional Saturday, snowplow parking lot, assembly bi-monthly newsletter, and other projects at five sites. Volunteers <18 yrs must be accompanied by parent or adult, on case-by-case approval.
